Hmm... really? I tried to play some off disc before and it didn't work.

I believe the F900 can play divx files so what's stopping the F700 from doing so? I'm guessing just licensing issues correct? Can this be overridden?

Hey diaftia, I was wondering if it were possible to make the time to destination and miles to destination boxes a little bigger. I know there isn't much room to work with but they are so small I sometimes press the wrong one while driving. It looks like you might be able to shave a little off the top box.

Also, is it possible to make it say AM/PM for those of us who have it set to the 12 hour clock. It's not that big a deal, but it makes it easier to distinguish between distance and time at quick glance.

how do i switch between 2D, 2D head up and 3D map? I keep tapping the compass icon but it wont response. I tapped the 2 green square on the upper right corner and it sometimes switch but not all the time. What is the proper way to do this ? Thanks alot!

It works for me. You might need to calibrate your screen.

It appears when you move the map. It recenters the map to the position of your car.

Well it doesn't work with a simulated route.

I just noticed that the GPS knows what side of the street house numbers are on. Is there anyway to make it announce which side of the street the destination is?

The only thing I don't really like about this mod is the new sounds. It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the interface. Luckily it seems the fix will be as easy as replacing the wav files with the originals.

I'm just nitpicking now, but when in speed mode instead of saying the speed limit is 0mph when there is no data available it should say something like N/A.

Also, since I have the F700 series I have no use for the MSN features. What do I need to do to remove them and can I add a quick link to the Itinerary in it's place or something? I would like to easily be able to switch back and forth. Thanks for the help!

This mod is so freaking awesome. It makes Stanislavovich's mod much more usable. Mad props to everyone involved. This is seriously cool. I'm so happy I bought this unit now.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get rid of the Navigation warning every time the unit is turned on? I am using FW 3.0.

everytime i tap the current speed on the left of the screen my f500 resets. It was the same with the 8.0 and is the same with 8.3.

 

Is it just happening to me?

and second question how can I change the angle of the 3d display? I want to see a more narrow angle. It was possible with the original display by tapping the screen and changing the angle.

You need to download the digital.ttf font file. It's a few pages back. Maybe Boris can put it on the first page.

I just got a Samsung Alias 2 (SCH-U750) and cannot get the phonebook to transfer on my F700 with 3.0 firmware. It just says no phonebook entries. It worked fine with my crappier Samsung SCH-U550.

Well I bought the update. If it isn't locked to a specific head unit i'd be willing to sell it for a discount.

Didn't do anything for me other than make it so the navigation volume is now controlled by the volume knob. Kinda annoying.

I have the same problem too, although mine only reboots sometimes. I hope they release another firmware update to fix this.
