  1. Yeah, the apple one. I have it. All you need to find an adaptor is a 3.5mm to RCA and then female to femal plugs so you can go ahead and connect it. That's what I'm about to try once I install it this weekend.
  2. WHy do you need the pioneer ipod cable? couldn't you just use the apple component cable with an RCA to 3.5mm jack adaptor to do the work? I'm asking this because that what I use on my F series before it crashed and burned and Pioneer only gave me the "bluebook" value of it, even though it was under warranty.
  3. Is there anyone in the Atlanta area that could help me out with doing this to my F700BT? I will bring some good beer while we do this update.
  4. Can I used the update for the X710Bt for my 3.0 F700BT from the Pioneer Website???
  5. I started this because the other threads discussing that it was available for purchase did not show up on my computer. Discussing about hacks, my time is more valuable than sitting inside a house hacking this unit or asking people to send me their hacks.
  6. 3.0 Firmware for $60.00 now available from Pioneer at their website.
  7. Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I can't have the unit on when I try to remove it from the dash in my car because the air bag computer is right below it and if I don't unplug the battery before unplugging the air bag computer, the stealership will have to reset it at a price of $100. I did tape my RCA connections for the ipod together but it still is no go =(. it kinda sucks because the sound coming from the right side will decrease randomly. I just don't want tto spend another $50 dollars for a cable that should be working fine.
  8. Update Finally installed the new RCA harness and I still have the same problem. Looks like afterall it may not be the RCA harness. Guess it's time to try the apple iPod cable instead of the Pioener one. to connect to the AVIC-F.
  9. Seems like Tacomaboy really hates the AVIC-F series. I just have to say that for the price you should expect some problems with this unit (you get what you pay for). I paid less than $400 for mine and the majority of other in-dash naviagtion system that I have/had seen were over $1100. I know it's annoying but we should come to expect some of these things. Back on subject, I received the RCA harness and will be installing it sometime this weekend and I'll let everyone know if that fixes the problem.
  10. Post one up for your dawgs... this might have a snowball effect and people will start posting for their schools here.
  11. This has done it with all the iPods I have connected to my F700BT. It's a known problem which Pioneer is aware of. I also changed the iPod connection cable and got the same results. We'll see what happens once I install the new RCA cable harness.
  12. Call pioneer technical support and if you purchased it from one of their authorized dealers they'll send you a replacement RCA harness. That's what they are doing with me. Their number is 1-800-421-1404.
  13. I'm having the same problem with my F700BT. How do you solve this cause it's ridiculous! Update: If you call Pioneer tech support and tell them about this they'll send you a replacement RCA harness as long as it is still under warranty and you purchased it from one of their authorized retailers.
  14. So occassionally my right speakers seem to output lower sound levels that the left ones while only playing my iPod, and then the sound level becomes the same for both left and right speakers. The ipod is connected to the F700BT by the pioneer cable for it. This does not occur while playing the radio or playing CDs. What could be the culprit for this? Any help would be appreciate. Do you think the RCA inputs for the iPod on the F700BT could be bad? Thanks,
