Hi - I have used the search function and tried to sort out the following problem with no success - so hoping someone on here can advise. I have the F900BT unit in my 03 Subaru STI - worked perfect for 1.2yrs. Then stopped booting up on start-up, shows the splash screen for around 10 seconds with all lights lit - then just goes blank - fan runs though. So I read up on here (Or so I thought) how to perform Test Mode. I formatted the SD Card - added the Test File & MitiCap File to the Card and went back to the car - tried to complete test mode. Thanks Skippy2, Pretty much all resolved now. Sat down today - removed the wiring install and had a good look at everything. Figured out that I had been following the wrong instructions on the Connects2 diagram (Canbus loom versus Cano1 type). So re connected everything properly- including the reverse sensor and parking brake to ground on the loom. Tie wrapped it all up and also did a neat install for the USB into my Arm Rest Cubby . Right - received the Connects2 system today with the Canbus adaptor. Re installed the F900 into my Passat and wired up as per instructions. The Connects2 found the CanBus no problem and the LED tit up green. I then connected the Pioneer/ ISO harness (What a long harness you end up with!!). Everything works ok - apart from the power side - I find that when you put take the key out of the ignition - the unit shuts off and powers down completely. Is this correct - or should the unit stay on without the ignition. Also silly question - can you turn the unit off when the igition is on - ie off t

Help please: Which one of the above products do I need to install the F900 into my 2007 Passat? It does not have steering controls. Do you have to buy both? Regards, Matt

Hi Jules - I am using the harness kit that the ICE supplier sent with the Head Unit. TBH the whole kit is a bit cheap and nasty including the facia adaptor. Where did you purchase the Connect2 or the PAC harness> Are you in the UK? Regards, Matt

Hi All, Newbie member - found the forum after searching the web in a panic. I am in a bit of a hole after attempting to install the f900bt into my 2007 VW Passat. Okay I bit the bullet and bought a new f900 from a UK supplier along with the relevant fitting kit for my car. The fitting kit included Din fascia adaptor and the wiring harness. I looked at a few forums then got stuck in - removing the rubbish VW CD single shot Head Unit no problems. Then I installed the GPS antenna and the Mic speaker into the car. Also no issues with fitting the Din adaptor and the Pioneer cage/ brackets
