Yes, we have tried other cd's and the Nav disk and they wont play either. The cd player seems dead as we always get a read error. I will try the laser cleaner idea. I'm sure it cant do any more harm than whats already there anyway. Thanks for the idea.

My girlfriend just bought a new vehicle with the D3 installed by previous owner. On a trip to Cali, a very hot day with AC on, the cd player/Nav system suddenly stopped working while playing a cd. There were a couple of times afterward that the Nav system would read its disk for a moment but now it just gives Read Error. No specific read error, just read error. She hit the reset button and it beeped a couple of times but nothing. The radio part still works. Is this fixable without sending back to Pioneer or are we better off to buy a new system? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
