That is what it is, just be sure to set it up in the Audio settings, otherwise it won't appear to be active, because it isn't

This will make your 3.0 unit look and feel MUCH better than what Pioneer came up with. You need 3.0.x to use this.

Mine too does not switch "automatically", so if you figure out how to make that work, please update this thread.

I did not, however, on one of my units it was a brand new (replacement) unit, never used. I unpacked it, upgraded it to 3.0 then added your mod.

I too have experienced this over the past couple of days. The icon which had been there previously was not showing up, instead there would just be the map where it should be. pressing on the area was treated the same as pressing anywhere else on the map. I am trying to gather a reproducable scenario since this has happened on both of my units. I can't explain it, or giev the scenario to cause it, however, I can only confirm what finger11 has reported. I will keep looking at it. BTW, using a stylus and rebooting the unit fixed it for me on both units.

I have a 7010 and it is definately the EXACT sameasa700. SO anything that applies to the 700 also applies to the 7010. Great unit, absolutely no regrets.

My wife and I both have 700's in each of our cars. Unfortunately her Nissan had a very bad grounding hiss from the Bose amp with the Metra harness. I researched all I could and came up with needing a scosche or PAC harness which uses the high level outputs . after installing the Scosche harness, I lost all sound output on her unit. I am at a loss as to what could affect both high-level and low-level output. Needless to say I have put my unit into her car and everything is working, so I know it was not a harness issue. I figure I shorted something, but I don't think this is a Pico fuse

A buddy has the 90BT and yes, it will play DVD's with the bypass while driving. But after I showed him what I do with my 700, he doesn't play DVD's anymore. I bought a 16GB SD and filled it with divx copies of movies set to 640 format for full screen, and I have 20 movies in my car all the time, no dics to store, and no load up time. Just thought I would pass that on in case you found it useful. Can't answer your WRX question, however, I can't imagine the vehicle has anything to do with a bypass solution. Works the same on a bench as it does in a car/boat/motorcycle/.....
