  1. Hey i just did the 3.0 update on my 700bt and a friends 700bt from files on avic411. Both went great, and both head units are running tons faster with awesome new features. is it worth it to do the 3.01 and then get 3.02? whats new or better about 3.02 over 3.0?
  2. go to nav settings, turn the master volume and voice volume all the way down. It mutes the nav stuff completely and doesn't interrupt the music
  3. ya i think i am leaning that way...thanks for confirming
  4. So, I would like to power a subwoofer (either 1 or 2 subs) with the rear channels of my f700bt. I have a single cab tacoma so i don't think i need a dedicated sub amp, but i would like to squeeze as much power out of the f700bt as i can without hurting it. (looking at 1 or 2 JL Audio 8 inches) In the installation manual it states that i could power 2 subs (left and right) or use just the right rear connection to push 2 ohms into 1 or 2 subs (manual says this would be 70 watts instead of 50). but wouldn't that only be one push of 70 watts at 2 ohms instead of 2 of 50 watts at 4 ohms? which one
  5. just went to a local car audio shop. They said this is a usual problem for them with all avic's. they say alot of them just come with rca outputs that don't work at all.
  6. ya that's the thing. ironically i have an older pioneer hu that i'm swapping in and out to test. and the subs work great with the old hu. so i know the amp/rca cables are good. has to be the hu right?
  7. ok installed a ground loop isolator and all feedback is gone. but still no signal from rca?
  8. Hello, Just bought the avic-f700bt and I'm installing it myself in a '97 Prelude. All is good except the rca outputs from the f700bt. I have a simple audiobahn subwoofer amp that I'm plugging into the rca outputs labeled "subwoofer output" and then attaching the remote wire from the amp to the designated blue/white remote control wire coming from the unit. This creates a massive amount of feedback through subwoofer. The speakers are playing great and the f700bt is working fine as far as i know. i also tried hooking up the remote wire from the audiobahn amp directly to my cars remote contro
