  1. I mean "hard wire", as in you could hard wire it. lol. I was probably typing from my phone. Sorry about that.
  2. Yes, you can hardware, and I mentioned you could do that. The reason I made a big hole in my glove box was for USB cables and other cables to pass through easily.
  3. I tried exFAT with my AVIC and it didn't work.
  4. I have the windows ce format method on my 100GB drive.. I have around 50GB of music and 25GB of videos. It doesn't recognize from a cold boot, but it recognizes just fine and plays all my music/vids within 30-45 seconds of plugging it in.
  5. It works.. that's why I made the how to threads.
  6. I'd try another reg editor.. I've had good luck with "Task Manager" on the pocket pc platform on my phone. http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1612 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280104
  7. Nice. Let us know how you do. If you run into any problems, post them and maybe we can help out.
  8. It's easy enough with searching for POI's, so it would be easy enough for typing a web address. There are different keyboard skins you can use with Windows CE/Mobile you know.
  9. The point isn't to have internet and programs using the internet on your phone.. anyone can do that. The point is having internet relayed to the AVIC itself so you can use the touchscreen and integrate programs right into the unit itself that access the internet. It makes things much simpler when you can just touch the screen instead of having to fiddle with your cell phone or use other hardware to navigate. That isn't what this topic is about.
  10. There's a program for a mobile phone (running Windows Mobile) to connect to a Windows CE device to do ICS over USB? I don't know about that. Bluetooth ICS is much easier. Just throw the phone in the center console or glovebox, and be done with it. If your phone gets crappy batter life, do my USB-power glovebox mod and just plug your phone in. That also leaves the AVIC's USB port free to plug in a hard drive.
  11. The mic works great. People say they can hear me perfectly, and there's no echo/feedback on their end either.
  12. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6812270226
  13. The finished product looks excellent. Are you putting up an official download link in this thread?
  14. From what people have indicated that tried it, the AVIC doesn't work with USB hubs/splitters. It only recognizes one device at a time.
  15. Whatever device you want your AVIC to recognize, you hook up to the AVIC's USB cable. The box with USB/12v outlets is for powering devices only. No data passes through it. That's why you use a USB splitter cable.
  16. I don't think so.. I wish there was a folder tree list like the audio. I just put mine in folders by show/season. Then when I jump from folder to folder, I can tell by the short label I tagged the folder with. It sucks, but it's the only way I know to navigate it.
  17. What does that have to do with internet on the AVIC unit....?
  18. Buy a 2.5'' hard drive and hook it up with USB, then toss it in your glove box.

  20. MobiTV works too. No monthly fee with the activation bypass.
  21. HTC 8925 works great. Full functionality. (tested with both WM 6.1 and WM 6.5)
  22. You could always do a registry backup first.. then if it changes anything that screws something up, you could uninstall the program and restore the registry back to default.
  23. lol, thanks. You can use whatever icons you want. Most of them are just from PNG icons for Windows Vista and Windows 7. The gummy bear looking guys are the crystal version of the little MSN character.
