  1. Can someone please help out with seeding? I have a server that stays up 24/7 that will continue to supply everyone the torrent once I get it.
  2. I am a computer engineer, and I have wrote lots of low level code for proprietary hardware. I'll tell you this.. it is not even worth it. If you want better functionality out of a car stereo like Android provides, go with a headunit that already comes with it. There are a few on the market. Or, go with a CarPC. They're much easier to setup and customize. If I were to attempt to code for the F700bt, it would take months.. or a team of people months. Hardly worth it. It probably wouldn't even run smooth on the outdated ARM processor.
  3. This is the best cheap one I've come across. The build quality is solid. I use it with my vehicle right now. http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-ACA200W- ... 274&sr=8-1 Picture quality is very good, and so is the night view. It doesn't have IR or anything for night time, but it picks up a ton of light and I can see perfectly when backing up in total darkness. Just the light my brake lights and reverse lights cast is enough for it to work well. I've recommended it to numerous people and they've all said it works perfect for them.
  4. Ok, I'm on the seed now. Through the magic of the internets, it appeared on my hard drive somehow. So.. download. go go go!!!
  5. Can someone hop on the seed for the torrent? I will seed it for everyone after I get the whole thing. I have a file server that is up 24/7 with a 2mbit upload.
  6. For the most part, all of them are "no". If you want a carputer, build a carputer. Otherwise, if you don't even know the answers to the questions, you wouldn't even know where to start and it would be a lost cause trying to help.. it would take dozens of paragraphs to explain. The time put into trying to hardcore-mod the AVIC into something that still pretty much sucks isn't worth the effort.
  7. In the USA, we're using digital ATSC now. It's a technology that is not made to be broadcast to a moving object. To get TV while in motion, the best option is streaming internet tv via a cell phone, directv's mobile service, or sirius/xm tv. In the not so distant future (a few years?) the US is supposed to open up the 6MHz waves for mobile digital TV. http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/16/us-m ... -approved/
  8. It's easier to have a custom on-screen touch keyboard, then use your USB port for something useful.
  9. Any Windows Mobile phone or hacked iPhone works fine. (must be WiFi equipped)
  10. Get started looking here. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26523 That's all we have right now.
  11. Kafklatch said he had SDIO wifi working several posts back.
  12. Yeah, that's most likely the problem. Various device ID's may not be recognized under WinCE, so no drivers or improper/limited drivers load. I'm almost finished up with my computer engineering degree at Univ. of. Mich and this semester I'm taking a few embedded systems classes, so I may be able to troubleshoot some issues.
  13. Yeah, I'm aware of the power issue.. I am powering mine correctly. I made this thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=24072 It just didn't work when I tried. I plugged in two thumb drives, only one showed up. I plugged in two hard drives, only one showed up. I plugged in a thumb drive and a hard drive, only one showed up. I tried changing the USB host settings in WinCE and got the same results. Oh well, it doesn't concern me that much.
  14. Looks like he means two thumb drives (or other like devices). I've tried it before with a USB hub, and it didn't work. Maybe it depends if the device you're using will work with generic drivers.
  15. The best route we have is wifi to wifi tethering, which someone already explained. Wifi to bluetooth would be the next easiest, then USB.
  16. The USB port will only do one device at a time.
  17. Well that sucks. I thought it show up as just a normal wifi adapter. =/
  18. It would be a hassle, especially if you want a USB hard drive plugged in or something. The easier route is like someone already mentioned with the large on screen keyboard that pops up when you need to type.
  19. This is great news and has a TON of potential. Integration with LeetLauncher seems like it would be the route to take.
  20. Don't have the SSS. Didn't use the speed sensor wire---although it is on the harness that's behind the dash already. It's harness C107 pin 31, white with blue stripe. Here's the Rockford Amplifier connection method. http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-x-audi ... works.html Metra Harness: http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-x-audi ... -02-a.html
