I just got my AVIC-Z1 for Christmas. It is stamped with an October 06 manufactuer date. I installed it with the two wire bypass (Grounding the Parking Brake Sense & alond with a pin on connector two) as per Sminntech, but Im still having trouble getting the DVD player to work. A couple times I tested it by driving for approx 10 minutes and it worked perfectly, and then I would turn the car off and try again, and I would recieve a "Parking brake lead message" , and the screen would go blank.
Have I installed the bypass incorrectly? or do I have to flash my headlights with this bypass??
