  1. Any chance the sound files can be louder? In v4.2 I have the key volume and spoken volume all of the way up and i can just barely hear the camera alert voice when my music is at 50+ Thanks
  2. IDT you've done it again! v4.2 is working 100% and my speedcam spoken alert is working like a charm!! Thanks as always............
  3. IDT, it doesn't boot up in 2D, I was mistaken. With the key beep thing, can I turn the key beep slider up loud, but actually have the key beeps turned off and still here a loud spoken alert? I'll try tomorrow and if it works I'll be excited! thanks for the quick response.
  4. Found the 3d toggle, but noticed the audible alert is a terrible computer sound and defaults to 'off' every time the HU is powered on/off. Voice alert only works when audible alert is on and then they both tell you (in a VERY annoying way) that their is a speed camera.
  5. IDT why did you switch from the adjustable spoken alert volume to a non-adjustable one? Is it b/c it never really worked properly? The v2.9 I had installed was always sporadic and at 3/4 volume was sometimes barely audible and other times would scare me to death. My v4.2 always loads into 2D, how do you toggle to 3D? As always....thanks for the hard work, the avic is basically useless (imho) without the work done by you and the other. I only use it mainly for the speed camera alerts in Calgary, as we have 45 red light AND speed through green cameras.
  6. my bberry bold is completely unreliable with my F700. Sometimes is connects within 2 minutes and the next time I'm in the car it won't connect at all. My friend has the same prob with his bold in an infiniti with factory nav and bluetooth unit. I totally think its the phone and not the hu.
  7. I added 45 local speedcams as PIO's in AVIC Feeds and then uploaded them onto an SD Card. After you insert the SD Card and search the speedcam POI file, you can see the list of camera locations. By clicking on each one individually and then pressing 'add camera' you can select the speed and direction. If you do several in a row, the unit will flash and then display the splash screen. The interesting thing is that the music will continue to play, so the unit's not entirely resetting/reloading. This is very annoying and adding all 45 POI's takes a solid hour. If it didn't reset, it would probab
  8. I could give you a copy of my original F700 flash drive, but where do I upload a copy for you? Do you use a particular file sharing program?
  9. Or do you mean- 1. Copy files to my SD card 2. Boot my unit into testmode and navigate to your SD card. 3. Copy DATA.ZIP to: \My Flash Drive\APL2\iGo Select yes when it ask you if you want to replace the files. Thanks for the help, I'm definitely a newbie on here!
  10. cmh928, when you say drop them into data.zip, do you mean I can just open up my two folders (can't remember the names, the ones that self extracted thanks to IDT) and just replace the entire audio file? To date I've relied on you guys to make self extracting programs for me.
  11. IDT, did you figure out a way to increase the spoken warning volume?
  12. How many horsepower do you gain with the new knob?
  13. Has anyone noticed that you can't hear the speedcam alerts when your music is over 20? Anyone have any ideas how to turn this up? (*note my alert volume slider is set to all the way up) Calling BorisM! GTIMatt! Maverickster! ill.die.trying!
  14. Ill.Die.Trying has my vote! His speedcam work is unreal. Now if someone can only get the warning volume up to take precedence over my music!!
  15. I have an AVIC F700 and my Blackberry Bold doesn't ring either when making a call, the person on the other just magically answers. I do have the Bluetooth software update and the time that it takes for the Blackberry Bold to pair also varies greatly every single time. This is b/c of the phone, not the unit. I know this because the pairing time was also sporadic with the factory nav system in a 2009 Infiniti G37. The BB curve paired quickly and seamlessly, but the Bold isn't so reliable (even though it's a 10x better phone!)
