  1. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it, just want to make sure of it before I buy. There is nowhere close by to play with one in person so I have to rely on users and YouTube for my "hands on time" 5. Ya, I guess after I train myself it won't be that bad, still annoying I can't just pair for the touch input and not calls. 6. Already got an iPad and kindle fire but it'd be nice to throw a movie up for them in the back. For two monitors and headrests (no DVD player built in) it's only around $150-200ish from what I have seen. 8. I posted this hoping someone had made the change from an
  2. Currently have an avic-x910bt and while its nice, it's beginning to show its age. I'm finding some functions I just don't use anymore like DVD and built in GPS (google maps nav on my android is far better) and have been tending to use pandora a lot. I think I'm willing to give up the built in things but have some questions first: 1. Pandora: can it function just via bluetooth and no cables, or must I plug in the pioneer android cable? 2. My wife and I both use this car, and we have different android phones, me a galaxy s 3 and her a htc one x. I understand I must get a 5 pin to 11
  3. Im using a genuine Apple composite cable and the only thing different than a normal install is that I have the right and left channels hooked up with a Y adapter so the av1 input can be shared with an aux input for a bluetooth dongle to give me a2dp. I have it set to iPod in the av settings. It will play fine for a little bit and then it will restart itself and keeps rebooting to the splash screen. The only way to get it to stop the endless bootloop is to unplug the ipod, once thats done it starts just fine and works without issues or restarts. any ideas??
  4. i bought my cable on ebay. i know they have some issues but i havent read about issues like this.
  5. so ive been experiencing issues lately with my x910bt. it will always start cutting out on the right side to where the volume is almost non existant. if i fiddle with the cable it sometimes will make the left side cut out and right side work again. its a cheapy ebay cable, think i should use the apple cable instead? also periodically the screen wont display anything or the unit will restart itself if the ipod is plugged in. other sources like fm and cd work just fine always. could this all be a result of the cable?
  6. go to the market and get "bluetooth file transfer" there is an option in there to enable it. i just transfered my phone book via my nexus one on 2.2 this way.
  7. I have a x910bt and an iphone 3g. I transfered my phone book and they all appear in contacts as they should. When an incoming call comes in though, it only shows the telephone number. It does not associate it with the number in my phone book. is there any way i can fix this? also, any hacks to have it not dump me in the map screen? its annoying, and honestly id prefer it to take me to a phone screen like the D3 did over the map.
  8. just got a avic-d3. seller forgot to ship the nav dvds and lives on the other side of the country. figured it would be faster to download then to have him ship them. found the torrents on the pirate bay and demonoid and they are CRAWLING, seriously fastest speed im getting is about 10kb/s even with my ports open. Anyone willing to do a file xfer of the rar via msn? or can someone pm me a ftp or rapidshare link? i really would like to avoid waiting forever to get this downloaded. just need the west dvd
