  1. I have a Z1 modified to a Z3 with the wired bypass. I also have a Pioneer rear view camera installed. I have always had the rear view image apprear full screen whenever I shifted into reverse, but something is amiss as it no longer is displayed (i.e. the map continues to display when in reverse). I can still get a rear image when I press the Map button and then on the screen press Rear View, so I know the camera and it's connections are OK. I suspect that whatever wire connects to the AVIC so that it senses when the transmission is in reverse has malfuctioned, but I resently had to do
  2. Just installed Garret's Z3 drive and couldn't be happier. Installation went fairly smoothly other than the fact that I did manage to strip 2 of the 4 screws securring the old drive to the mounting bracket -- yes I was forewarned. Eventually did get the two stripped screws out. Knowing my propensity for error, I ordered 4 replacement screws along with the new drive so attaching the bracket to the replacement was simple. The drive worked perfectly! I was unable to send Garret my old drive prior to receipt of the replacement because I am on the road and could not do without the GPS. Howe
