Ok, so I installed the 3.0 update and it fixed my 'bricked' avic. But now the only problem is that it won't read music video files on my SD card. It will read the audio from those video files. Does anybody know whats wrong?

Can someone please help? I've made 2 post and nobody has responded. I tried get my AVIC F900bt into test mode and it did but only for 2 seconds and then it turned off. I'm trying to avoid sending it in for warranty work but I can fix the brick if it won't stay on. Has anyone else had this problem?

update: I found the v3.0 testmode files and put them on my sd card. When I booted up I saw a screen that looked like the windows screen on a computer but it then went back to the black screen after 2 seconds. HELP!!! Could this be a fuse problem? or do you guys think that its a corrupt file?

How do you get into test mode? My unit is bricked and won't go past the splast screen. I'm unsure if testmode is set of files or a couple buttons that have to be pressed. I need help now!!!

I'm having the same exact problem except I get the blue load up screen before it goes to the black screen. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I've only had my avic F900 headunit for a couple months and its worked slow but flawlessly until yesterday. The loading screen will come up when I crank the car but then it will go to a black screen after its done loading instead of the menu screen. When I press any of the menu/map or knob buttons it doesn't make any beeping sounds. HELP!!!! has this happened to anybody? I really don't want to take it out to send it back to avic.

I just installed a F900 and want to use my Zune with it. I connected it using the usb port but nothing happened. Besides using the a/v pack? I'd prefer not to spend another $60.
