my avic f90bt bluetooth doesnt work after i installed a mod, i tried loading the update, anyone have any experience with this. maybe some way to flash the bluetooth files and reinstall them?

all i can say is make sure EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED IN ALL THE WAY! i had engine noise and could figure out where it was coming from, i checked all my wiring and cables. until one day i ttok the dash apart and checked out the unit itself... it came to be that my metra axxess box wasnt plugged in all the way IN!!!

oh and the metra axxess harness will shut your stereo down when u open the door just like ur stock stereo used to do it

i have a gmc yukon denali fully loaded and to keep all ur stuff as close to stock as possible with the avic you my friend need the following: metra axxess harness: to restore the onstar, door chimes and your bose sound sytems(fully) not just tap into the speaker wires..in other words to get the most out of you bose system...the harness is around 50 bucks for new on ebay pac swi-ps...to enable your steering controls and a good mod for the brake bypass(software)

ok i think i know what the problem was...im gonna blame it on the pac swi-ps....first of all do you have the pac? i re-programmed mine all over again, and i connected it to a 12Vconstant(always on) wire....now when i shut off my truck the fm doesnt go crazy when i try to adjust the volume... before, i used to have the wire hooked up to the accesorie wire so when i shut my vehicle down my stereo would beep and adjust the volume by a number or two all by itself then the fm tuner would go crazy when i tried adjusting the volume(Im thinking the pac would send a signal and confuse the avic)

i actually did some work on my unit today, had to re-program the pac swi-ps...tomorrow morning i will re-check for the fm station/volume craziness

yes it is true, i have an 05 yukon and i bought the metra axxcess harness with onstar...even though i dont use onstar....but this helped me enable using the bose system with the avic otherwise you have to tap into the speaker wires(which is a pain the ass to find....and yes the pac swi-ps also enables you to use the steering wheel controls to control the avic

i have this same issue, i thought maybe it has something to to with the mods maybe? but it drives me crazy cause i always forget and i want to turn the volume down and my stations go crazy

oh it works BUT.....in my case, the license plate lights blind it, making it overexpose and i get a bright screen...but if i turn all the lights off its good visibility with the infrared lights...for 20 bucks its good

alrighty then, got the camera working, its a great addition to the unit, i like it much better now

so how do i wire everything so that the camera is visible even when not in reverse, or is that even posible i have an f90bt and bought a camera off ebay for 22 bucks

ok i noticed this a few days ago since i rarely use the FM radio on my f90bt but when i shut down my car and try to adjust the volume, the radio starts skipping stations nonstop going crazy on me, kinda like going thru the presets nonstop.....has anyone had this happen to them? its annoying... i have IDT's mod installed for a while but i hadnt noticed this until now since i barely use my fm radio...any input would be helpful thanks

ok i'll try messing with the terrain settings, but i think they are set at high already, unless there is another level up from that

i used to have this mod which i dont remember which one it was... but my maps used to display the mountains when in 3d mode and as i drove around it would show flat if it was flat terrain or if was heading in the mountains it would show heading into them...i uploaded 3.0 and have IDT's mod and all of that is gone...anyone would know how to bring that up...it felt more real as it showed the terrain accordingly when navigating...right now everything is flat even when driving into the mountains...anybody know how to get this working again????it would be nice...thanks

i deleted all of canada hawaii and alaska files and replaced them with the one you sent me...and restarted the unit only to find out the mexico still shows blank....anything else you might have forgotten about...i followed ur steps carefully, replaced everyhting still no maps for MX

hey there people, i have f90bt and im wondering how i can get the unit to display mexico maps, i was looking at my current maps and they go blank south of the border..i will be driving down there for the holidays and would like to know if there is a way to get the unit to display a map for down there...any help would on how i can accomplish this will be greatly appreciated thanks

i emailed pioneer and they said the unit is too old for it to work....bummer

i need help on this one too....i have the GEX-p900xm and the GEX-fm903xm and neither of them want to be recognized by the f90bt...i have the units piggybacked off the HD tuner, everything is connected properly to my understading but still it does show up on the f90bt...is anyone running XM on other than the GEX-920xm???help pleeeeeeeese
