  1.

lol there is no page 201.

yeah....... i just about fell over when I saw no page 201, but did not want to fan the flames...... fuunnnnnny

Ahhh.. it's because they broke the manual up into 2 sections for Pioneer. Check out the manual from Crutchfield: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manual ... VICF90.PDF

    Page 201.

  2. The good thing is…I just ate lunch and feel great!

But for real the good is that you can call your insurance company, and have them pay you for a new z110bt along with an aftermarket alarm system.

Don't you actually have to pay to insure the NAV system in order to get coverage once it's stolen?

Yes... my deductible for theft or vandalism is $0. I <3 State Farm.

  3. I don't think I've ever seen someone get so mad at someone for giving them the link and page number to a detailed table of codecs and the ways in which you can use them for your device. That's actually pretty hilarious.

Until you learn anything about cars, you should refrain from posting. It's a Hyundai, not a VW or Honda, and it's not "ricer" in the slightest. I do not have a massive spoiler or anything "Autozone" of the sort.

Also, you indeed did not ask for a program. You asked for a codec that you could convert your files to. That's what I gave you.

Rock on, ignorant dude. Rock on.

I've said my piece. Moving on.

  4. Hey guys, just finished installing an AVIC-x910bt and the bypass works the same as the AVIC-f900bt. This radio is what the F series should have been. Works so much better and faster!!!!

    its the same thing.

Except they ship with the 3.0 firmware, I believe... so if it's "so much better and faster", then that's what would should be able to expect with the new 3.0 firmware.

  5. Even if the car did have an alarm... I dunno where you live, but if you have a car alarm here and it goes off when they're trying to jack your stuff, they'll just smash up your car completely to "teach you a lesson".

That does suck a lot though.

  6. I was told by Pioneer that my product will ship in August of this year, but had no real schedule time of shipment, I was willing to wait because of this, I made my order on July 03 of this year over the phone because of it. It is August 3rd now and I still been getting the same information I was getting a month back.

Last I looked it's still August and there are 4 more weeks left in it.

    +1 Whiny babies are whiny.

  7. I'm driven that way twice, and it always knew I was in the tunnel. I have my VSS wire connected... not sure if that made a difference.

One thing that's related that I will bitch about, is that you can't AVOID tolls on this GPS... only allow or disallow them. That meant, from Philly, my options were a shit ton of tolls and a 1.5 hour drive, or a 500 mile drive and no tolls. Navigon definitely has this GPS beat in the Toll Avoidance department.

    Oh well.

I wrote to Pioneer about it and they said they'd forward my email to the Project Developers, which I assume means the Trash Can, but still lol

  8. BIG C - it works as you describe.... with my ipod it works great. aux 2 front input with a mini jack to mini jack. if i try to hook up my blackberry and use pandora i get a horrible wine over the music.... any ideas there?

It could be electrical interference by the wiring in your car.

  9. Personally, I think it's insane for them to try and charge $130 for the OS update, especially considering it fixes the fact that 2.0 was a poorly coded piece of garbage, and didn't have "Heading Up" in 2D (which was a baseline feature of my D3!)

I don't mind them charging for map data (though I think that too ought to be super cheap) and the "new feature" stuff of 3.0, but the fact is that the F-series owners subsidized Pioneer's development of a new line of nav systems by beta testing half-finished code and living with the frustrations that caused.

My less-than-1-year-old F90BT has totally stopped working now and I'm contemplating putting my D3 back in rather than the F90 at this point. I had always hoped/assumed that I'd eventually get the fix that allowed me to use my GPS map the same way my D3 worked but for $130? No thanks.

That isn't what they're charging for the F-series update.

It's $60 if you hop on board now. $120 after that.

  10. Are they available now ?

    They ship in August.

You're making the assumption that this guy has the know-how or even wants to do it himself. Just try to remember that there are plenty of people that go on Google, type in something like "How do you update F700BT maps?", and one of the first results may be this forum. They may not necessarily know that they're entering a forum full of people that mod their devices.

In fact, that's likely what it is, if that's what he entered... http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=how+do+y ... mf0jJ9P_V0

That's all. I'm not trying to start another flame war. I was actually trying to help the guy out instead of being a dick for once (but still giving the link) lol

  11. "GPS signal lost" so annoying when i have the woofers up. :( oh well

Maybe try adjusting the sound settings. I have a relatively large sub in my car and I don't recall it being used when announcing GPS thingers. Unless you have the crossover turned up really high, in which case it would be emphasizing the highs on the sub as well.

  12. Just bought a F700bt but it has come with map data for 2007. How/were can i update the maps?

I assume that you have joined us in order to learn to do this yourself so i will not give you a smartass link to a Pioneer site.

    Maps can be found here.

    http://gpssoftware.us/

There are many other sources for maps, google is a good starting point.

You may need to change your ezrider file for the maps to work, If you are unsure how to do it, DON'T until you have searched this site and read all you can find on the subject and feel confident enough to do it.

If you don't feel confident read it all again :-)

If you still dont feel confident then use the smartass link.

    Dear BrianF,

Do tell how providing the man with exactly what he requested is a "smartass link". I would love to know how giving him a link DIRECTLY to the page from which he can purchase the update is smartass.

You're one of the many brilliant people on here...

If this were a forum dedicated to piracy, I would, of course have replied differently.

Since this is, however, a public forum designed for the "average joe" to find resources on how to better use, or troubleshoot his device, an appropriate link was given.

  13. What exactly is the special cable? I went to radio shack and bought an audio cable with a male end on both side, plugged it into the headphone jack on the ipod and into the input on the front of the D3, I used it that way for about a year until I broke down and bought the pioneer ipod cable. The audio cable was $5 from radio shack, not a special cable from pioneer.

Correction: A cable that is "more special" than a typical mini-plug style stereo connector patch cable.

  14. Why would you call something junk because you can't figure out how to use it (reading the manual miiiiight help). That seems like skewed logic to me.

Discussion on the subject is not necessary. I'm just making a statement.
