hey everyone ... hope all is well with everyone .. i was just wondering ... i have a factory cd changer in the trunk of my jetta ... and it was i assume hooked up to a factory radio at one time but when i bought the car it had a low end pioneer in it ... so i pulled that out and dropped in a brand new d2 with ipod dvd player and xm w/ nav traffic ... and i was wondering is there anyway to get the factory vw cd changer to work with the d2? is there like a converter box i need or something i would just like to have that cd changer working without having to put out a few hundred for a new one ...

i have a jetta and i did my d2 myself no problems yet (knock on wood) but yeah for me i had to cut the plasic behind the OEM radio to get mine to slide in all the way .. no biggie easy as pie with a hacksaw :-D then it fits perfect! i reccomend doing it if you know what you are doing .... i had luck and my friend who had the car b4 me had a pioneer head unit so i just cut that wireharness off and matched the colors to mine really easy
