i just got pioneer n1 but i already had a pioneer p5700dvd hooked up b4 the n1. so i decided to just keep the p5700 harness hooked up. will that interfere with use of the n1?

i just bought a used pioneer n1 off ebay, the seller said it just came back from pioneer getting the flex cable fixed. but it didnt come with the navigation dvds. when i hook it up it says please insert appropriate disk.all i can do is listen to the radio. is that because i dont have the dvds loaded? any help would be appreciated.
