  1. does anyone know if I can somehow import a road trip route that I have made and saved on google maps into my Avic F500bt? Thanks
  2. Can you change the color of the illumination on the F500? I know you cannot directly on the unit but there is a function in the AVIC FEEDS program. I tried this and had no luck when plugging the SD into my F500. Anyone else have any luck? Also, Is it just MY unit or can the F500 not run without the battery plugged in?... even though it is hooked up through the cig lighter adapter for power. Cheers
  3. I also have a question then, If its just easier to use the cig. lighter, why is it necessary to connect the yellow "battery" wire on the f500 cradle cable harness? Also will the F500 run without the battery in it if it is hooked up through the cradle?
  4. I just bought a F500 and I was wondering if there is anyway to do the hardware bypass? I have tried the software bypass but am confused. Does the unit automatically copy the modified data.zip file? Or do I have to find it in windows ce and change it? Thanks
  5. Because I want NAV, built in blutooth, and the voice recognition for my ipod and I dont want to spend $900.
  6. Hi guys, I did a few searches to try to find something close to this but didnt come up with much.... I am looking into buying a AVIC-F500BT but I have a completely aftermarket stereo already existing in my car. I have a Alpine ida-x100 head unit (which has no cd slot or anything JUST a IPOD/USB plugin). I want to know if there is a way to keep my IPOD directly connected to my alpine deck and somehow be able to use the voice recognition for IPOD playback from the avic OR connect my IPOD to the AVIC while still maintaining audio quality. Is there a way? Thanks
