  1. Hi, you're a GOD - I was looking for days now, why the F500 of my father has lost its ability to talk - and it was just that stupid type entry. Thanks for your posting!
  2. Don't know about the FX, but in the original FW you can do it this way: Bye, Boby

    v4.0 Firmware

Boris, thanks. Do you have some information what changed? Is my assumption right, that I still have to look for IGO8.3 maps?
  4. Hi, I read the other day here in this forum, that it's possible to apply a hack to reduce the increment of the 3D angle. Unfortunately I can't find the post anymore - and I searched now for half an hour. Could anyone give me a hint what to change to get smaller steps when changing the 3D angle in the 3D-map view? Thank you in advance, Boby
  5. So, your third line in the macro looks like this: Const SQLITE As String = "C:\temp\sqlite3.exe" Question: Have you downloaded the SQLite programm from here (http://www.sqlite.org/sqlite-3_6_17.zip), unzipped & stored the file "sqlite3.exe" in the folder C:\temp ?
  6. Although, you have to admit, it's very hard to find (out) - it took me also a while to find out how it really works. @thommy: You have to go to the AV Source screen and select "off". Then go to system settings & change the left lower button (I guess it's titled "Voice guidance" or so) from "mute" to "att" or "normal". You have to select no AV Source otherwise the button will stay disabled. Hope that helps a little bit more than BorisM's comment
  7. The macro creates two files: - One file containing the SQL code which is being executed afterwards and (=you don't need it for your device!) - one file containing the data you need to copy to your unit (that's what you need to copy). How to? The easiest way: 1) Look at your unit, what's the Bluetooth-ID of your cell phone. You can find it out by looking into the folder "\My Flash Disk\USER\UserData\PHONEDATA". There you'll find a file called like "PhoneBookxxxxxxxxxx.db", where the x here stand for diffrent numbers and letters. That's the name the created file with the data has to h
  8. @Avic_weo: Sorry for that late question & maybe I read over that part of information, but what firmware version exactly have you uploaded there? AFAIK there were more than one 3.x versions (if I am correct 3.04 and 3.1). Could you give me/us this information? Thanks! P.S.: Some french guy from here uploaded a video on youtube - and I noticed a very small difference between the video and my current firmware (=which runs fine, btw) - I don't get a seperate "number pad" for the input of the house numbers - I get the same screen like before (which is no problem for me, but I just want
  9. Nope. With 2.07 firmware you got the slowest WINCE existing . But the higher speed comes only from a new WINCE! So, you need to update to that WINCE, which is included in the AVIC-X910-update from the pioneer site. But when you only update WINCE, the navigation won't work anymore (FM, DVD,... works fine - but navigation won't start) - to solve that issue, you have to download the APL2-folder given by AVIC_WEO on the turboss.com site. Look out for the existing "how to's" in this hack-section, which describe the necessary steps in a very detailed manner. Good luck!
  10. Well, to have a useable phonebook the next time, I applied the following workaround: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25308&p=179199 Not that what I wanted to do (nor I expected to have to do, when I bought this expensive unit) - but good enough for the next months while waiting for Pioneer releasing a firmware without all these flaws. It's a pity that people from all over the world have to come up with such workarounds to make this unit usable. But I'm grateful for the support here - and now I'm happy so far with my unit. Thanks for all the support here!
  11. Weo, thank's so much for this perfectly working workaround! The import of the contacts on my Nokia N71 didn't work well (first name/last name got in wrong direction) - and I was spending DAYS in trying different configurations without success. With your macro it just took me 10 minutes to execute & replace the db-file on the unit - and now everything is the way I ever wanted it - I can distinguish between home, office and mobile - and everything is ordered as it should be (lastname, first name). Thank you so much! Bye, Boby
  12. Okay, I found some time and did a few tests. The results looks strange - maybe one of you can help me out with some explanations... Configuration: - AVIC: F900BT EW, runs currently on the AVIC_WEO firmware (3.01) - Cell phone: Nokia E71 - Contacts on PC side: MS Outlook 2003 First, I created a new contact DIRECTLY on my cell phone with the following values: First name: TestFN Last name: TestLN Office number: 0815 Mobile number: 4711 Then I cleaned the memory of the AVIC & transferred the phone book from my cell phone to the AVIC. Result: Very fine! I got two entries in
  13. Oh well, thanks for the hint. I'll try this tomorrow. My phone is a Nokia N71 & the display order in the contacts on the phone was "last_name first_name", tomorrow morning I'll try different settings, maybe it will solve my problem. Even if I would have to use it as workaround (change setting, transmit phone book & restore previous setting) would be fine with me - I'm transferring my phonebook maybe once a month, so no big deal. What I've figured out in the meantime: Microsoft Outlook (which is in general the source of my contacts - I synchronize my cell phone via EAS [GPRS/UMTS-b
  14. Well...big deal...not really, it's just annoying, but I could re-arange that, that's true. I just mentioned, that Pioneer did it better in the past. What bothers me much more is the sorting of the entries in the phone book. Currently they are sorted the way "1) first name 2) last name". I use the unit with the cell phone of my company carrying over 250 contacts of who I mostly only know the LAST name. To think of "what's the first name of the customer" just to find him on my unit, is really mean - and also distracts me from driving.
  15. My Kingston 8GB SDHC Mode 6 SD card works fine in my F900BT.
