Hey everyone, I used to use a 2GB usb stick since i got my F900BT back in july, had no problems....and for about a month or two now, ive been using a 4gb usb, and for the first few weeks, everything was running perfectly! (i originally tried using an 8gb usb but my unit couldnt even detect it) so for about a month now, some random songs just freeze up the unit when i select them or if they are played as a proceeding track alphabetically. so i take the usb to my computer, format it completely, run the disk error checking and the standard windows tools, and it finds no errors, and ther

Hey i downloaded most of the well known fast food chain POI's like McDonalds, KFC, Hungry Jacks, Subway, etc.... and i put them through AVIC Feeds and they converted fine, i exported them onto my SD card and my unit read them fine, but so how do i transfer them over to my unit so they stay there? Because basically they were there temporarily when i put the SD card in, and when i took them out, well they obviously weren't there. Thanks

I just checked and yes the restaurant.icon file is there Im trying to find a .kml file or .CSV or something for all the restaurants in Sydney, so i can put it through AVIC feeds and see if i can put it in my unit like that

By the way, does anybody know how to get a TMC Traffic updates shortcut on the GPS interface? i.e. on the maps itself rather than going through the menu? Like just adding a shortcut button?

Hey im an Australian F900BT owner and i was just wondering, is there any way i can get a TMC Traffic button on the GPS interface? i.e. on the map itself rather than going through the menu? Ok i just did what you suggested, i delete both the other branding folders and i put in the one uploaded in this thread, and the icons of all the categories did change, and i didnt have any GPS signal loss or anything like that, but it still made no difference in the fact that the entire "Restaurant" category isnt there and there is no way to see any sort of restaurant or eating area without having to type the name of the place into the search option. Alright then well im willing to try it, but i just opened up the APL2/iGo folder on my computer (a backup of what is on my unit flash drive) and there are 3 different branding zip files.. one is just "branding", the other is "branding_EW" and the other is "branding_UC" what should i do? i know in the instructions you wrote, i have to put the new "branding" zip file in there, but what should i do about those other 2 branding zip's? Sorry if its a stupid question Thanks

Hey Vblue, Just wanted to ask, would this Branding file and basically every other suggested change in this thread, work on the Australian F900BT running on version 3? To be honest, i dont know if im using iGo8 or iGo8.3 but in general, would this work for Australian maps? i.e. are these just the icons, and they run off the given maps? Thanks

How can i find out whether im using iGo8 or 8.3? Gosh its alot of work getting those POI's to work for us....well based on what ive read so far viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18428 thats for the US, and this guy asked if they would work for EU and he said they wouldn't, so im guessing it wouldn't work for us either, which is a real shame because the author of that thread made one .zip file with all the POI branding icons, so it would've been so convenient for us to just add. I'll keep looking but perhaps tonight or something.....really need a break from the computer

OK so i just got back from the car, and i copied the V2 POI file over (without deleting the V3 file) and nothing happened, so there were no changes in the POI's list... then i deleted the V3 file and left the V2 there, and there weren't any POI's even available to choose from, i.e. the list of categories wouldn't even come up and no POI's would be found. so i thought i could perhaps rename the V2 file into exactly the filename the V3 had, and i did that, still didn't work, and so yeah i just put everything back to the way it was, and the POI's

Okay i found them both....the POI file in V3 is just called "Australia.poi" and its 18,429kb. So yeah ill make a backup of this file of course, and so what your suggesting is, to just add the V2 POI file in the unit? Do you think they would work together? Because frankly i was just thinking i could delete the V3 one (after backing up) and replacing it with the V2 file because they practically have all the same POI's, except that one has "Restaurants" in it.

Oh ok then ill try that....but so that second option you said, is there a specific folder where all the POI's are kept? V2 i mean....because i still have all the backup files so ill look through them, and would it just be a copy-over thing? If not, how can i get a hold of the V2 POI's?

Oh Wow how could Pioneer miss out on something like that?! I thought it might have been in "Cafe" aswell or even "leisure" or "night life" but nothing at all. I can honestly say i would use the "restaurants" category more than anything else when i need to use the POI feature...and now its not even there Do you think those POI's could still be there, but they just arent in a category? or pioneer just forgot to make one for them? The wierd thing is, i had "Restaurants" available when i put on the 15dot1 maps on V2 If i was to just change the maps and put on the 15dot1, would V3
