Where did u get the OEM parts? and which parts did you get?

Hey which kit did you get, the metra or the schosche? Looks really good

so the car charger for the zune will plug into the dock?

in that case how does the dock get power?

does the zune dock come with a AC adaptor or an adaptor for the power plug for the car?

Just got my 07 Civic and my D3 is on the way. Does anyone here have any idea how to dissassemble the dash? I'm pretty sure whatever installer I chose would not legally do the bypass so I want to see how difficult it is to actually do the dissasembly myself. Any diagrams would be helpful.

Please post pictures of the interface between the zune and d3 soon. I bought the D3 because of your video. my gf already has a zune so i'd love to integrate it since the pricer z1/z2 only has 10 gig free for music. plus how did you get the video to play did u have to install extra hardware to bypass the lockout I heard about

Hey all, its been a while but I just got my new civic last week. looking around for a good deal on the Z1 anyone seen it for a good price? for the installation, i've been quoted at a local installer ~$120 and best buy ~$200. does that sound like a good deal? my intension is to wait a few month for the z2 to come out to see if the z1 drop in price. but if there's a good deal now i'd probably bite the bullet since the z1 and z2 doesnt appear to be all too different.

I'm actually thinking about getting a new car in the next 2 months which is why i've been doing research. do you know if the kit from metra fits into the new civics from 2007? and also if places like best buy or circuit city can install something like this if i decide not to be adventurous. i dont mind spending a little money to get it done right but i'm not sure if going to a local installer i'd be ripped off. thanks again for all the helpful hints.

I've done some reading on the various forums and it looks like the installation is not trivial. since it would involve taking the factory dash out and putting a third party fitting in. can you tell me a list of tools and accessories that would help me in the install?

With the expected release of the Z2 in April, has anyone heard if the Z1 will be any cheaper?

Hey were u able to install everything? I'm looking to get a new honda civic in about 2 months and I was wondering how the finished avic-z1/civic install will look like before deciding to get the honda navi or the pioneer navi. any pictures would be helpful.
