I have an AVIC-Z1. Antenna connection is non-existant. I checked the wire and sure enough its cut... Almost completely in half lol. I have a roof mounted receiver. Question- Can I splice the antenna wire so I dont have to wire up a new one, since I didnt install this one? Or do I just have to bite the bullet and replace this one entirely and have to run the wire all over. Dustin

I was having this exact same problem. I thought that maybe the receiver had been damaged in a recent hail storm. But I followed the wire from the antenna and no less than a couple inches back from the rec. the wire is cut.... I'd start there. Go into the menu settings and check you connection. If its crap you know it has something to do with the antenna. G/L Dustin
