  1. Don't know if this might help you out but I had the same problem. When I sent it in the tech said it was supposed to act like an in-line fuse. (Don't know why they couldn't put one on the out side?) The part number if you needed it is CDE7727.   2. I have an avic n1 that recently went in for the cable upgrade. The tech called back saying he needs 200 dollars to fix a problem that is causing only the rca outputs to pop and hiss. Figuring that I don't use the rca but the wires that are on the power harness I'll be fine. 1 month later they go out too(no sound from the speakers only the sub). Nothing is wrong with the speakers. The wiring isn't arching or grounding out anywhere. The only thing I found was a ribbon cable in the HU has a wire fried. I can't find the part number to order it and was wondering if that is the problem if anyo
