  1. not exactly sure here but I presumed they are the Text To Speech files for other languages in the EU :?

Oh ok thanks still dont think Ill load them though english works just fine for me lol

  2. Hi guys just a quick one for you, I got two cd's with my F10BT (UK version of Z110BT) one is the user manual and the other has TTS FILES writen on the front, any ideas? would be kind of strange to have an update disc with a new unit, so as yet I havent put it in :? cheers

  3. Yes I did speak to him.. said the DVD thing might be sortable too... If so I will be so happy...

    Thanks for your help too...

Not a problem Gino, thats what were here for, not only that if he thinks your DVD region is sortable, then mine might be too :D

  4. Hey Thanks... I just sent them an email and some offered to buy my unit too... Although the UK version is WAY more expensive than the US one... :-(

Hi Gino I spoke to Peter today and he said that you had been in touch, now he said he's looking into a work around for you Z110  I think he said it would be for the sat nav not sure about the DVD region side of things though so keep watching 8)

  5. Been reading over the manual, and that spec jumped out at me. Page 210.

I'm a noob to this stuff, but my smallest USB drive is 160GB. And there are 32GB SDHC cards out now.

Is that a hard limit? Have past Pioneer head units had similar limits?

Just checked the UK version F10 and it states that it has the same limits 16GB on both SD card and USB external device's page 167 that said 16GB = 500 albums or 32 hours of video !!!

  6. GD... Flag ship product doesn't mean - beats or equals all features on our competitors...

Anyway - where did you buy your AVIC-F10BT from and how much??

I paid $1700 in California and I will just get the F10BT and sell the Z110BT on ebay or something.. :-)

Hi I got mine from Huets audio in Brighton East Sussex, and the cost was £1280.00 thats supply only not fitted. I was lucky enough to get one of only 50 that came in to the UK. I hope this helps you

  7. I usually use the ipod most of the time. WHen I return to the car it seems like the VR does not work until I go to the navigtion first to acknowledge the warning. Does this happen to anyone else?

Dont know if it's the same on the Z110, but with my old X1 if I turned off the unit with the map showing, when I switched back on it would default to the map screen and I had to acknowledge the warning before I could hear anything, guess I will find out if it's the same with the new F10 (European version of the Z110) hope this helps a little

  8. Well I have mine now, just finished hacking the dash around and the unit fits a treat :D although the truck looks a right mess, seats and half the dash out lol but all going in good, most of the wir ing is now done, but I need a long RCA cable for the sub and still waiting for the DVD multi changer and new rear screens, going to have a pair of US XQ 7" screens for sale real soon should anyone be interested

  9. Hey Hemiuk

Do you have the Z110BT as well... what are you doing about the MAP issue then.. Just using the other media facilities and not using map at all?

No sorry I have the UK version AVIC-F10BT so I dont have the mapping issues, I did speak to a Pioneer tech and he said that the Z110 will not aquire the europe satalites I had this with someone else on here who said they would but having had a N1 it didnt work even with the UK maps so I think there will be some dissapointed people out there in 441 land, my original question was to do with the DVD play back regions I have a lot of DVD's from the states and still cant belive that Pioneer regionalise the DVD's on their units

  10. Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics, Inc.

U.S. models will only provide map information for the U.S. and Canada.

They will not support the map structure for another country.

    Thank You,

    Kathy

    Customer Service Representative

    Any comments anyone.. ??

spoke to pioneer today about another issue and this cropped up and the tech guy is under the impresion that pioneer DO regionalise there navigation systems the same way they do the DVD side of things, kinda weird this day and age! :x

  11. Hey guys does anyone know if this by-pass will work on the UK version F10BT ? I should be picking mine up Thursday (units delayed coming in to the UK) I cant wait to git that sucker in :D

if its the same as the 900 then all we do in the UK is ground the lead that goes to the handbrake afaik - not as complicated as the US

Why would that be? less complicated I mean, just had a look at the power lead and the F10BT has the yellow mute lead, was that on the 900's as well?

  12. yes the units have landed a total of 50 in the UK. there bigger than I thought looking at the hole it's got to fit in  so the cutting wheel will have to come out again lol but they are a very nice looking unit I cant wait to get it in there and fire it up, going to take a while though due to the now custom install but where theres a will theres a way, got the ts-w77a to go under the rear seat as well

  13. Yes, ordered mine last Saturday, Pioneer expect delivery to them today (Tuesday) and I should have it by Friday so install on Saturday in my F150 Harley edition (2000) so a bit of trial and error as it's not listed as fitting this model year photos will follow :D

good man - keep us informed

may give my installer a ring tomorrow :)

Ok quick update for you, DELIVERY DELAYED TO PIONEER EUROPE bugger! :( should be here Tuesday sometime so will get back to y'all once it's here. Oh took a closer look at the so called din and a half appature :? looks like a insert in the hole so shouldnt prove to be too much of a problem adjusting it with a cutting wheel

  14. Yes, ordered mine last Saturday, Pioneer expect delivery to them today (Tuesday) and I should have it by Friday so install on Saturday in my F150 Harley edition (2000) so a bit of trial and error as it's not listed as fitting this model year photos will follow :D

  15. Hi guys, has anyone hacked the regional settings for DVD play back? I'm in the UK but most of my DVD's are from the US. thanks hemi sorry if someone has posted this solution up already (kin newbe! lol)

  16. Fair comment, that could have been the problem (DVD region) never know now :) as it's gone lol ROLL ON F10 8)

F10BT ordered should have it in my hot sweaty hands by Friday :D then a new pair of rear screens and a DVD changer Oh and an active sub (due to lack of space  )

  17. No idea as it's not out yet...

However, ask Pioneer if they can supply/sell the European maps, as they obviously exist...

I think if you look on teh Pioneer site it states that people with the Navgate system can buy a updated map not sure if it just updates what you already have or if it would be a complete mapping update, I know that the X??? maps were a full map but that might just be because they are on disc ??? I would be interested to know if you get this working over here in England :)

  18. Picking up satelites is no problem at all, it's the same network all over the world... :?

The real problem with using US units in Europe in the past was the FM receiver... Don't know what the situation is with the new units, as I understood the Z110 does not have RDS. Don't know if it also has TMC for traffic re-direct, and what the frequency grid for FM is...

Also you need the European maps of course...

I got my AVIC X1 in the states and Pioneer have regionalised the sat nav ! set it up in my F150 and was unable to acquire the minium number of satalites ( I seem to remembeer that the minium is 4) contacted Pioneer UK and they knew of this, but the guy was interested to see if with the Europe maps it woud solve the problem, so the guy sent me free of charge the disc's and asked me to let him know, well the buggers didnt work, with the tuner we go up in .05 and i think you guy's go up 1 at a time so unit was sold to a buddy in the states and I replaced it with a used one from the UK. :(

  19. Well it looks like the Z110 is now available here in England, listed as a F10BT! looks the same as the Z110, we dont have the MSN live set up though pity as this looks like a usefull bit of kit, also we dont have sirius and XM over here, other than that the specs look the same Oh and the price as you would expect $2140  I just wish that the units you guys have there would work over here but they dont, (I know this from 1st hand experiance units wont pick up the satalites) so this will be my next buy for the truck, now just to shoehorn the darn thing in there lol :D
