  1. You can definitely run it off a computer power supply, that's how I do all of my upgrades (easier than running out to the car). Take an old power supply, cut off all of the orange and red wires (they're 3V and 5V, no use for them now), and solder all of the yellow (12V) wires together and black (ground) wires together. There is also a thin green wire in the middle of the connector that needs to be grounded, as this is what turns the power supply on and off. There you have it... a 12V power supply that'll easily drive anything you need it for.
  2. I've installed a couple of D3s in the past and never had an issue with a bypass, but I'm working on a f700bt now and having a few issues. First of all, I've done the V3.0 upgrade, along with using the new data.zip file with the altered pioneer.ini file so it should be bypassed within the software. The problem I get is that no matter what I try the unit acts as thought the handbrake wire isn't properly hooked up. I've done the software bypass, tried the hardware bypass (moving pin and grounding along with the handbrake wire), even tried pulsing the handbrake wire to ground b/c I've had succe
