I got the highs set down in the head eq. I also seem to prefer the highs set down more on the pioneer in dash eq as well. The amp volume for the highs is also set pretty low. I can mix and adjust to my satisfaction the volumes and crossovers of the 4 amps instantly to suit any song or tune that comes up, from rock to adding bass to classical. I especially enjoy using the mid volume control to adjust songs as they come up.

Only Pyramid makes one like this in the 1/2 din size as far as I know. I had one 12-13 years ago so they've been around for a while. I thought the backlights looked cheezy so I took the front off and painted the bulbs with black nailpolish.

I just love, LOVE having the volume and the "next" key at my fingertips. I use ipod mainly and have it set on random and just use the next key mostly. I couldn't get my steering controls to work so there was no way to change tracks from the GPS screen. There should be track+ and - buttons on the head. The volume buttons on the unit are small, the one on the remote is a nice size. Funny thing is the remote won't work unless I have the SWI JACK steering interface hooked up but the steering controls themselves don't work. I checked it for having the red wire soldered to the correct terminal

I had a Pioneer F series before my 9140. I'm sure the interfaces are very similar to the Z110BT. I liked the more comprehensive Pioneer ipod interface. Didn't get far evaluating the Pioneer nav or phone before switching to the Kenwood. I like the Kenwood Garmin GPS better than the pioneer. Still have to sync my phone. I'm sure it will be fine for my needs. Don't care about the voice commands. It's quicker to just use the touch screen. Looking forward to the TV tuner that's coming out. What I especially like that Pioneer doesn't have is the remote that comes with the Kenwood. I

Do you guys think the 3.0 update will fix most of this

Hi I just joined this board after reading posts here for a few weeks. My unit jams up a lot Then the unit rebooted itself spontaniously. It's done it a few times. Also the screen goes off sometimes for a second or 2 then comes back on without the unit rebooting. I checked the wiring and everything was fine but I can't seem to get very far on the windows of the touch screen before having to turn the unit on and off numerous times before being able to get it working. Are other people having these kind of problems because I don't see much posting about this touch screen freeze
