Nevermind. Totally works now.

As per the subject line- updated my iPod software and now it won't mount on my Z110BT. Any suggestions? I was expecting an update to be available but don't see one.

This is a very annoying feature (or lack of) of the Z110. It's borderline absurd to not have the presets listed. I might could accept that it wouldn't automatically be able to list the presets but to not be able to at least type them in yourself is stupid. Instead, you get a big beautiful screen with ZERO useful info on it.

Any and all GPS devices should be hard programmed to avoid I95 between NYC and Boston. It's just not a viable route.

'04 Kia Sorento. I guess I'll have him do it then. Using the NAV (day) at night just isn't feasible.

My installer is apprehensive about connecting the illumination wire for the NAV. He said he doesn't connect it as a policy because he fears it could blow my BCM. He said he would do it for me if I wish but that he recommends against it. Can anyone put my mind at ease so I can tell him to do it with confidence? Thanks

I use a PAC-SWI-PS and don't have a power antenna so I may not be much help. Your suspicion sounds right to me though. I hope when I get MSN Direct installed it doesn't effect my HD reception. Good luck.

Why are you using a Metra antenna adapter?

HD Radio receives both analog and digital signals which renders the FM/AM option unnecessary. That's why those options on your screen become dim. If a particular station is broadcasting HD then you will see a 'D' next to the signal meter (middle left side of screen next to the sat dish icon.) If not, you will see an 'A'. That's how you can tell what kind of broadcast you're hearing. Typically, when I tune to an HD station it will receive it analog for the first 4-8 seconds and then will kick in digital. Sounds to me like your antenna might not be connected.

I had a Z110 installed in my Sorento about a week ago. I would post pics but the install was pretty standard. Overall I'm very stoked. Boot time, command responsiveness, and easy ui were the biggest factors for me when deciding which headunit to get and the Z110 performs incredibly in that regard. Still, pieces this complicated, with so many features are bound to have some boneheaded design flaws, and the Z110 is no different. NAV The Good: I previously had a Tom Tom and this Nav software is better. Finds the signal very quick. You can easily 'cancel route' which took no less than 7

My installer just quoted me $1350. It's done.

They have the units in stock now listed for $1375. I'm torn whether to pull the trigger with these guys or wait for price drop from other sellers.
