It seems like my pico fuse is blown. I'm getting insane hiss as soon as the unit start. I've troublecheck every other thing and it comes from the avic.

i'm in canada. shipping will be pretty expensive already. What will happen if i ship it to pioneer usa to get it repair with my "illegal" 3.0 firmware?

also what's the price for fixing the pico fuse?

i removed:

gpspara0.bin, gpspara1.bin, gpspara2.bin and gpspara3.bin and it works so far

since i had issue with it 3 days ago (too cold here didn't start just reboot every 15 sec) it doesn't work very well ever since.

Today wasn't cold at all... the unit was starting nicely but after 30sec of music... it just reboot over and over again.

i have v3.0, never problem with it. I tried reset too. any ideas?

i hope it's not a brick... btw 3.0 was installed 3-4month ago, never had problem... version from here...

I put a dvd with like 30 videoclip this morning, 3 of them worked, 2 without the sound. 1 working perfect.

Dvd movies work fine, but beside that, there's nothing i can play off the build-in drive or sd card.

dvd/cd build-in drive: it read DIVX and AVI, is that right? files need to be converted to 720x576 maximum?

sd/usb drive: ??? AVI ??? MPEG-4??? what's working with the sd and usb (no ipod here) ?

Also, what's the best overall format to use for videoclip (less than 5min) and movies overall. What's the best converter online? (free or ... you know )

I just want to make some dvds before getting the unit so i'll be able to fully enjoy it once it will be installed

If your wanting more than 4 Pre-Outs read my section i nthe Audio Section about BOSE and adding more preouts, and at a better Voltage! just spend the 20 Bucks. its alot easier i nthe long run.

the epic-160 need a full range signal cause it use the signal up to 2khz to "create" the fondamental.

so far, i think i'll just use the rear rca for the epic-160 intake. LPF will be used on the amp.

The front rca will lead to me eq, which already boost the rca voltage up to 7v. there's also a fader and more rca ouput there...

i just won't be able to control the subwoofer output level like if i had used the sub out... a remote gain will fix that.

I haven't received my unit yet, but the fact that I have no choice but to use a lpf on the subwoofer output is kinda problematic for me.

I was wondering if there's any way to hack/mod the unit so the subwoofer rca output would be full range (no filter at all). I need a full range signal to make my epic-160 works on my substage... and i can't really live without it

beside that, how many "touch/click" do i need to do to get to the subwoofer output level from the music menu? any way to create a shortcut for it?

Still a little confused with small detail

1)Avi support: from what i understand, it works on sd/usb but not with the drive? what about divx? same thing?

so i won't be able to make dvd full of videoclips?

2)reset button: Will it reset the bypass and the 2.0 version? i guess not? worth it to go 3.0 before using?

3) Sub output cannot be "full range". The manual seems to say so. Is there any way to have the subwoofer output level in shortcut somewhere.

4)Staging option from avic-d3 gone?

edit: also, if i connect something in usb (cowon pmp player), will i be able to browse folder like with the an ipod (just without the interface and voice recognition) ?
