SO, can anyone think of a way or make a hack to use the EQ in the F500 when connected with an ipod? It is as previously stated accessible when playing music from a USB...
-
Hi all Again - thanks for the responses. I checked again for a button while on the iPod control screen - there is nothing. I am running version 2.006... Curious too since its available while playing from the memory stick...

VBLUE Appreciate the response, but I do not have an "EQ Screen" following selection of the ipod as source...

Seems to me that the EQ, available when playing music from a memory stick, should be usable with an iPod. I recognize that the iPod has an EQ, but you need to disconnect, change EQ setting, and reconnect. Has anyone figured out a way to use the EQ built into the F500 while using an iPod?

Which apple cable? ThMy unit is not hard wired so I need a mini USB to ipod or something similar... have searched but have not found... any pointers? I CANNOT buy another Pioneer cable...

I've owned an F00BT new since August. Since then I've had it brick itself with a "Fatal Tel Error", cannot consistently recognize by blackberry phone, and most frustratingly have struggled to consistently keep my Ipod connected with no luck, despite 2 Pioneer cables and the USB cable. I'm not doing it anymore. I'll use it as a GPS only. No bluetooth, no Ipod... Good luck to the rest of you, hope you had a better experience than I have...

GeezMo Thanks! KEK

GeezMo What Monster cable did you buy? I've been using the USB connection without issue after many dropout issues with Pioneer cable, but would like to watch video also...

Thank you, Sallysky... appreciate the info. I wonder, if the volume is sufficient for my liking do I really then NEED the amp?!? anyones thoughts?

Sallysky What is the monsoon system? Is the amp required with a stock hu, to tie it effectively into the car head end? Thanks KEK

EEgeek Thanks for your guidance on how to eliminate the noise issues... If I may I have follow-up questions. I have the F500BT and am currently using the headphone output to connect to the Aux input on my stereo head (on a 2008 Altima). I get a lot of variable-pitch whining and hissing noise: 1) Can a ground-loop isolator used between the headphone output and the Aux inupt on my car stereo? 2) If I hard-wire using the supplied harness, will that eliminate the noises (whining and hissing) or would an isolator stil be needed? Thank you for any advise KEK
