  1. is there a solution out yet for the insanely slow ipod searching? also, does anyone know if we will lose our z1 bypass when we the the z1 to z2 software upgrade? also my pioneer reverse camera when black on the screen does anyone know any ideas to fix it?
  2. I came across this today while searching the Alpine website. It is a rear seat interferce adapter for your ipod. It is compatable with touch screens which leads me to believe some way it will work on our avic-z1's. here is the site: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/product ... l=KCE-415i
  3. scratch that i fixed the issue. the reset cleared it upThanks for yalls help. Ducatiboy i have been meaning to tell you this, i noticed the ipod adapter for the z1 is identical in every aspect as the ipod adapter for alpine head unit that was relased just before the intorduced the intigrated ipod module to the head unit. the alpine module i have is just a slow as the z1 also. do you think there is a way to speed the ipod searching up by putting a ipod adapter from a different manufacture?
  4. hahaha ooops i meant to say does anyone know if it would hurt the camera module if i wrapped it in a water proof bag. sorry i just woke up when i wrote that
  5. does anyone know if i wrapped the pioneer camera module(the little black box the camera plugs into) in a watertight bag? i have a small moisture problem in the door sill for some reason. the vehicle is a 2004 f-150 and i have read other people have this same issue.
  6. there is a place in or around houston that said the will definitly have the avic-z2 in about a month. they told me this about 2 weeks ago. if anyone is interested in contacting them i can try to find the name. they said it is going to be much better but i think we all know that.
  7. what is the routine used to reset the unit? should i hold the button down for 15 seconds or something and should i do it while the unit is running? thanks for your help
  8. ducatiboy i did exactly as you said and grounded the parking brake wire and added the cellphone mute wire to the position you specified and i still have the problem. what else should i test? i just recieved the unit yesterday and it is brand new in box.
  9. i just recieved my z1 yesterday and installed it and i loveeee it! but oine issue i have is that when i turn the unit on it senses that i have by passed the parking break by grounding the parking brake wire. when i go to my connection screen it says the parking break is on but when the vehicle begins to move it grays everything out. does anyone know a solution to this?
  10. has anyone out there wired their steering wheel controls to their avic on a late model f-150 using the PAC module? If so please help.
