  1. I read something in the F90BT installation manual. It says something about F1 Thru F4 Keys. Are thay talking about the keyboard in WIN CE screen ( Test Mode ) I would like to use EXT1 & EXT2 for A/V inputs. Anybody Know ? :?

    Thanks Jeff R

  2. This is another post, but it does adress the USB power problem .Ok it's done 3.0 update on my wifes F900BT. This F900BT has always been a little buggy but it works just fine, much better with 3.0 in it. Alright the great MSN-Direct is much better with 3.0 but still does not show to be ACTIVATED !! but It does work. I think it just doesn't say it's activated but it is. Current Gas prices,Movie show times and places, Weather..... all work properly. So thats the way it is. Pioneer repair service dept. still after three tries has not repaired the issue I sent it to them for. To be fair they did repair the USB cable. Customer service just is not what used to be. I work in customer service for a living, If I treated my customers the same way I would be out of a job !!

  4. I have the same problem on F900BT in my wifes car still running 2.0 you can try to end your call on your cell. That should disconnect the call. On my F90BT if I use the contacks touch screen it changes to the map screen and I get the red Icon w/Vol up and down, and they work. If i use Voice it does the same thing it works. Each phone connects differently to the AVIC. I have two different LG phones. My EnVee touch works the same on both AVIC's My wifes does not. Joans works just fine on my F90BT 3.0 but has the same problems yours does on her F900BT 2.0

I have both F90BT and F900BT. You can only dispaly Nav on the the AVIC, I also have a second 7" screen just below my F90BT in my Chevy. The screen has two inputs so I can display Video from the AVIC or from my rear 12" rear flip down DVD player. But you can display a DVD from the AVIC on your second screen and display Nav on the AVIC at the same time. I bought my F90BT on Ebay for $481.00 with shipping, it's a refurb but it works just great Updated to 3.0 firmware. If you get the F90BT you also get the Ipod cable with it. It's worth about $40.00 See my review on Ebay Just search F90BT. I like the F90BT you will too . My wife's car has the F900BT no extra screen. The F900BT is also a refurb and has been back to Pioneer TWICE for repair. It is working pretty good right now just need to do 3.0 upgrade. Just waiting for UPS to Get here.

    Good luck Jeff R

  6. Here check this out it's called an CD-IU230V cable. Goole it or go Pioneers web site. Make sure you get a genuine Pioneer or Apple cable. If you don't you can have problems. I have an 32Gb Ipod Touch and it worked with the after market cable but it didn't charge my Ipod, switched to a genuine cable and all is well. It charges and plays all my audio and video just fine. I hope that helps. Jeff R

Yes it does work, but I did not use it. If any thing you connect to the audio source input's on the RCA's has any signal at all it automaticly shuts off any other source coming in on IP-Bus and plays whats on the RCA input. So if you have XM or any thing else on your Bus you will not be able to turn them on or switch them on. Now if you can mute the signal coming in it might work for you. It does not work for me. I have a rear flip down 12" DVD player my Three year old son watches. He use's his wireless head phones but sometimes we all want to hear the movie and thats just great, but I like to use my I pod for music or video. I can mute the rear DVD player but it shuts off the IR for the headphones. So saying all that I have run the audio RCA output from the rear DVD player into the back of the glove box and connected a CD-RM10 cable and just plug into the AUX 2 input Works Great. I have my Ipod cable running right next to it in the glove box. In short the F90BT and F900BT needs to have more than one rear A/V input. I think that EXT 1 and EXT 2 will be able to be used as inputs when Pioneer comes out with an update. Maybe somebody has a hack to turn them on. I do not like cables where I can see them but it's ok I put them all away when not in use and my Ipod lives in the glove box anyway :(

  8. This is how I bypassed my F90Bt First step fine your A/V harness take the yellow wire with the black stripe out it's the one on the end. Second step insert that yellow wire between the two black wires on the other side. That is Pin no.4 Third step connect the light green wire to that yellow wire. Last step ground them to chassis ground, try to use the same ground you used on your power harness . 8) Thanks Jeff R

  9. to 1louds If you check in the installation manual it says threr are two different cables that will fit in AV2. I had the same problem with mine F90BT. the pin config is First pin L= Left Audio witch is the same on both cables Second pin on the CD-RM10 cable is correct would be R= right Audio but on the other cable it is a Video pin. The third pin is the same on both it is the Ground the fourth pin on CD-RM10 cable is Video. On the other cable it is the right Audio. If that helps. I just Switched the the RCAs to the proper terms and it works just Fine. :D

  10. Got my F900BT back today can't wait to install it :D Now we will see if Pioneer has fixed it. I might test it first before i get it installed. Funny no E-Mail from Pioneer untill after I signed for it from the UPS driver. :? Anyway I will let you guys know how it went. Ok I tested it today at work in my office seems to work just fine, the MSN did not activate but it was inside my office so not a very good signal, going to install it tomorrow if I can get some time. :? Thanks Jeff R.

  11. I am running an F90BT 3.0 I noticed on the source menu the USB Icon changes to an IPOD Icon when i plug in my Ipod touch 32 Gb second gen. And the my Ipod says CHARGING is not supported. I heard of an interface adapter to reduce voltage to 5 Volts. Anybody hear of this ? If I use the factory USB cable that came with my Ipod it charges just fine. But to be able to play music or video I use CD-IU230V cable. Update I just switched the aftermarket cable I bought from a local car stereo store with cable that came with my F90BT. CD-IU230V genuine Composite iPod cable. Guess what now it charges and plays audio or video at the same time. Thanks Jeff R

Go with Apple cable if you can or aleast a Genuine Pioneer Cable. The Pioneer cable fixed all of my problems.

  12. Just an Update. Sent my F900BT back to Pioneer to have the MSN-Direct repaired. I shipped it out on Oct 23rd They recived it on the 27th. They are still working on it. I called them (Pioneer Support Dept Long Beach Ca.) and they said the unit is still with a tech and not repaired yet. BTY they said their's nothing wrong with it. I explained to them I installed my F90BT in the same truck and it works Perfect. So it's not an antenna, wire or installation problem. It just doesn't Activate. I did notice 3.0 loads faster and gets a better signal on my F90BT. My F900BT still is running 2.0 As soon as I get it back I'll upgrade it to 3.0 Thanks you guys, Theres alot of information on this fourm and it's a great place to be.
