  1. To mattesonb My name is Jeff My F900BT did the same thing to the T. Read my posts ( MSN-Direct won't activate ) one thing I did was to a hard reset A small button just under the eject button. Use a pen or paper clip Press and hold hold it in for about ten or so seconds the system will reboot. Leave it on. Now after reboot go to your pc. go to MSN-Direct home page sign in and reactivte your signal. It takes any where from 2-45 Minutes to load infomation. Try to move your car or truck to a different place to get a better signal. BTY mine has never shown it to be fully activated.
  2. To ill.die.trying Thank You Jeff R.
  3. To anyone I have a simple question. once the unit is TESTMODE how do you go out of test mode and back to regluar mode ? thanks Jeff R.
  4. To BorisM Thanks for the replay ! I will let you know how it goes Jeff R.
  5. To smitty10 I have an F900BT running 2.0 it takes abount 25-30 seconds to boot up after that I can put in SD card 16GB with 14GBs on music on it. After inserting the card it takes about 1-2 seconds to display. Anyway if you have the the few extra bucks think about a F900BT it also plays DVD's and if you upgrade with 3.0 Pioneer CNSD-100FM Map Upgrade for F Series Navigation. You would have the same as a X910BT and save some money. I like my 900 so any way you go you can't go wrong 700 900 pick one !! Good Luck Jeff R.

    Back Up F900BT

Thanks Graypen. I just wanted to have this file in case I brick my unit. I build Windows PC's all the time and have a good unstanding of software. I am very good with XP / Vista / Windows 7 32 & 64 Bit .
  9. Hey there I have F900BT is a refurb, It works just great. I am still running 2.0 but I just purchased 3.0 I have not recived it yet. I am looking at getting a 900 for my wife car (Joan) I think the valvue you get from the Pioneer unit is far past what the others have to offer. The only thing that does not work wright is the MSN-Direct. I am hoping that 3.0 will fix that problem. Well worth the money. I work in auto parts and sensors, computers, starters, alternators, switches all can be defective wright out the box. The defective rate is about 5% So stuff happens.

  13. To BorisM Thanks again I have a active trial MSN Account that expires on 10.17.09 I moved my gps Antenna to the other side of my dash. It would seem that I get a better signal. Still the same status Inactive or expired. I ask tech support from Pioneer about placement of my antenna my from the GPS. There answer is it has no interfearance from GPS or the FM antenna at all. Thank You very much Jeff R To Desh Thanks for the reply. I thought I was the only one with this problem. After the 3.0 Update were you able to get Active status ? or is it still the same ? Desh
  14. Hey BorisM I was able to get to the Diag. screen. It would seem that every thing is good, good packets and all. Is there a way to change the channel. It's useing 93.7 FM this has a strong FM signal. Could there be interfearance from the radio station useing that same channel. Maybe the unit looks for a strong station ? Status screeen still says inactive or expired even with receving good info. Maybe I should just leave alone. But I just can't. I love to fix things. I like it to work wright. I might try 3.0 software ? Again Thanks So much you have been a great help. As always ta
  15. Thanks BorisM My FM signal is any where from 50-100 % most of the time. If I go downtown it's more like 75-100 %. I am going to move the GPS antennta to the other side of the dashboard (The Driver Side) and see if that helps. I will update and let you know. Again Thanks for your help. Take Care Jeff R.
  16. Thanks BorisM I will ask you if it is in fact the same as fm antenna, sould I move my GPS antennta ? It's only two inchs away from the stock AM/FM antennta. My MSN-Direct does work for local gas prices and weather. Movie times only shows info from Phoenix Az Usa but I am in Tucson Az about 75 miles south of Phoenix. Status shows inactive or expired. BYW the support page for MSN-Direct say's the Antenna is the same as as the power lead for the unit. ?
  17. Update : I have read that the antenna for the MSN reciver is also the power lead for the unit. I will make sure it is not coiled up or near the unit itself as the can cause interfearance will the signal. So I'll try it again. I will update if that works. 18. Can you play them in a different dvd or MP4 player ? If not try useing NERO RECODE MP4 Format. If you don't have NERO can download a free 30 day verision from NERO. If they play then theirs something wrong with you F900BT. Mine plays MP4 DVD+Rs or Any DVD-R RWs. Pioneer Tect specs the unit only to plays DVD-Rs try one. Good Luck Jeff R.
  19. My F900BT gets some informations from MSN but my Status screen says inactive. is their a fix or is my GPS antenna too close. my GPS Antenna is on my dash next to the windshield and my am-fm antenna is Just outside next to the gps Antenna. can any body help with this ?
  20. Yes they will. Your unit should have come with a warranty card or form in the box. It asks for serial no. and model No. fill it out and make a copy for your records. ok Jeff R
