Thought the 3.0 firmware update changes from f serious to the x? Either way I sent an email to Pioneer to try to clear this up. I'll let you all know what they tell me.

Thanks JasonH for your reply. It's kind of weird their isnt a free update for the 3.0 software but I swear I got it from a link here on AVIC411. Following this link you will find the part# for the firmware. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=FNAVIFWKIT3 Then again I could be wrong. Can anyone else shed some light on this?

Hey Everyone, I did some searches and couldn’t find the answer to my problem. I didn’t purchase the map updates but did sign up for the free 3.0 firmware update. After almost waiting two months and emailing Pioneer they finally sent it. Just received it today and when opening it I only found a few pages of instructions on how to update the firmware. With a piece missing. Am I supposed to receive the SD card as well? I don’t even have a link to download the 3.0 firmware. Am I missing something? Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I know some people on this site were

Well you guys are all lucky if you already received the 3.0 update. I ordered mines back in Aug 2009 and they are telling me its backordered.
