Hi yesterday i read a post were it says that if your going to upgrade a new hard drive with the z3 files and maps it's not necessary to unlock it. only if your doing the upgrade on your original hard drive that came with your z1 that one has to be unlocked. only asking because iam ready to do upgrade i purchased a 60gig hd new and i thought that i had to unlock it first. so all i have to do is disable security expand the msv and load the virgine files hope those are the steps can some one confirm just need to know to be sure thank's everyone and keep up the good work

Hi all i down loaded the virgin image to convert my z1 to z3 with maps i used the Bitlord torrent to download the image files. i got a total of 13 files with a .tib extension iam ready to covert my Hdd to z3 just wanted to know if i have the right amount of files need in the virgin image. thank you
  4. i have read a couple but iam confused iam understanding that i have to make an image of my original 30gig z1 disk and then copy it to the new 80gig hard drive am i right or do i just unlock the new drive and program it ?

Hi everyone just got my new 60gig hd to upgrade my z1 to z3 i need to know where are the instructions for this upgrade. and also am i only going to ulock my new drive and dowload the new files to it or do i have to extract any files from my original 30 gig z1 drive any help is appriciate feeling a bit confused with the step to follow to do this upgrade thank you

Hi everyone iam new to this site love it so far i have learned alot i really appreciate what you guys are doing and all the advice you guys are giving out. i have a z1 and would like to upgrade the hard drive to the z3 i have noticed everyone speaks about going with a 80 gig hard drive i have been looking for one but no luck can i go with a bigger hard drive or is 80 gig recomended also iam doing the upgrade myself i would like to know i i was to do something wrong can it damage my z1 radio or would it just be the hard drive that's been used and i could always go back to the original 30 gig.
