basically i tried to do the unit reboot fix found here viewtopic.php?f=33&t=23558 and now my unit will not boot past the splash screen and if i press the menue button it shows the start screen but the only thing i can do is go into settings and in settings it says that i dont have a map version or firmware version... i know im deeply screwed so instead of buying a new unit walk me through fixing it and ill pay you for your time... thanks, Jon

ok i have gone through and finished the reboot process walkthrogh in the help fourms and did everything to a T. When the unit reboots at the end it freezes at the splash screen... Sigh I have been working on this for 5 hours!! Help!!

I was but now I have decided to use the reboot fix and found out the 3.0 testmode file works best thanks for the post though!

ok... so i updated to the new 2.006 and in doing so i looked around the forums to find a fix for the no tts problem i was having. saw that someone suggested that you boot into testmode and delete the tts files in the voice folder and then re add them. well being this is the first time i EVER went into test mode i accidentally deleted all the files in the voice folder and now my unit says starting up in progress please wait and never gets any farther. so i figured ok ill just boot back into test mode and put the files back in the folder ( which i finally found online after hours of searching )
