Hiya rgarjr Which format is that? Which works best? Also does the sd need to 1st b formatted to FAT32 like I learned from a recent unit update?

wut is the deal wit the units ability to understand sd cards. i placed a number of movies on an sd to save space on my ipod...like 8 i've converted the movies to several different formats and MAYBE 2 of them will be understood by the unit. the rest i get 'tracks that cant be played will be skipped' anything in particular i need to be aware of??

hi. i have a z110 upgraded to z120. can anyone tell me wut is meant by making sure the AVICZ110 file is located at the 'top layer' of the sd card means? i have totally formatted 2 sd's and placed only the unzipped 'AVICZ110' file on both sd's and my unit has not reacted to either. the directions say to simply mount the sd and the update should begin automatically, nothin... ???

thanks! i actually called up pioneer on the reboot issue and told them the problem went away once i deactivated the VR cataloging. i asked if the amout of songs i had (10,000+) was too much. he said no and that the units should be capable to VR catalog 160g ipod classics. where can i find more info on the force cataloging abilities u brought up?

ok maybe i can find some information on that. if not im pretty sure i wont miss the songs either. i usually only use my playlists anyway. hey, u know anything of this firmware update 2.003, can find it on pioneer website but i hear its supposed to take care of the BT 'OK' button connection issue.

i also upgraded my z110 to the z120. where can i download this update, i cant seem to find it on the site. and what benefits has anyone noticed from it. also is anyone aware if an update to the z130 will be available, especially since the msn direct (z110 & 120)is gonna be conking out on us soon

to ronS & VBLUE: to this point i have taken ronS's advice and deactivated the VR cataloging & i have not yet experienced the unit shutting off and rebooting itself as normal during that process (thanks ronS). both the ipod and nav are running simultaneously and i have not had an issue. everyone seems to post a ruff estimate of how many songs thay have on their ipod, mine is past the 10,000 mark, might this be too many for the unit to catalog, is there a limit? p.s. to ron S...i have not yet reset/restarted the ipod as i am having my computer which has itunes installed repaired.

hiya ronS i will try your advice and deactivate the VR and restore/reset the ipod. as for the clarification to your question, to avoid going into NAV mode and having the VR attempt to load, i simply press the MODE button when the OK screen comes up & play my ipod without the VR to keep the unit from rebooting. if i need to get someplace i'll press the OK screen button & use the NAV & leave the ipod off. this is just to avoid the problem but i would like for it to work properly.

Hiya RonS i actually did have an issue with the unit randomly rebooting while it was operating as a z110. i sent the unit back for repairs, when it was returned i was never told wut the issue was. honestly at that time i only noticed that the set was randomly rebooting itself, i had not put together wut was happening as far as the VR and the ipod was concerned. now the warranty is up. i am runnning an ipod classic 80g, it has to have about 10,000 songs on it.

this is possibly related to my prior post concerning my unit rebooting during vr loading... what could be causing my ipod to occassionally reboot during play. it never has this problem unless its hooked to the unit. i was wondering if there could be sum issue that has crept up with the a/v cable, and if so how could that be determined

im having an issue where if i am running just my nav...no problem if i am running just my ipod...no problem but if the 2 are both going the unit will never get to the point where the vr gets totally loaded and the unit continually reboots. when the reboot is complete they both pick up where they left off

hi. my unit SEEMS to be working fine but more & more recently its been cutting itself off. usually when u cut ur cars power off the unit will straighten itself back from the tilt that u have it on & go off. when this problem arrives the unit cuts itself off and the tilt remains. after about 2 or 3 mins my splash screen reappears and the unit starts back up on its own & picks up the song where it left off. any suggestions??

Z110BT 1. how do i tag songs using the hd radio 2. how do it get rid of the warning msg when i try watching an ipod movie/ 'attention' viewing front monitor,etc etc
