Was happily listening to my iPod when, suddenly, no sound. Looked at my screen and saw it had returned to the start up (i.e., Pioneer logo). Pressed "menu" , "map" and about everything else I could think of. It would occasionally go black for a few seconds before returning to the "Pioneer" screen. This morning, I was actually able to get the radio to work for a few minutes but, then, it was back to the logo screen, with no sound, no map function, nothing. I tried a reset, but that didn't help. Now I'm looking to my dear friends on this forum for help & advice. Thank you!

Is it possible to change the compass orientation so that it is always pointing in the direction of travel? My previous Pioneer unit would rotate to accommodate this, but this new one (AVIC F 700BT) doesn't seem to. It only accommodates the direction of travel in 3D mode and I prefer 2D. All help/suggestions/advice is appreciated!

What does the 3.0 update include? I'm trying to find a fix for my compass orientation in 2D mode. My old unit always had the compass pointing in the direction of travel, which I loved. My new one (AVIC-F700BT) only displays that function in 3D mode which I don't care for. Thanks for your help and advice!

Probably a dumb question, but does upgrading to v3.0 imply buying/inserting a new SD card? Also, how do I verify my current version? Thx!

I just purchased my AVIC-F700BT and immediately had the same question: how do I re-align the compass so that it's pointing in the direction of travel? On my old D series, the map would reorient as I was turning. Are you saying that this cannot happen in the F series? Seems like a big step backwards. And there is no fix now or forthcoming? Haven't tried the unit in 3-D mode yet, but that's never been my viewing preference. Thx!
