The aux1 input is supposed to be disabled when the aux1 is set to ipod. However, I can't help you with your main problem. srry dude!

I tried what gtown described but I still only get audio and no video. When I play a video, I get the blue warning screen, then I push ok and the screen turns black with audio only. I'm using a 3rd gen nano.
