I appreciate the fast response. If I brick my unit but have backed it up before hand is it an easy process fixing it?

I have the 2.006 version and the hardware bypass(moved the mute wire to a different location) so that I can do the nav while driving. If I install the 3.0 will the hardware bypass work the same as before?
