well for starters, the factory sources do not use the pioneer amp, the device is made to only interrupt the factory equipment either when a source is playing (ipod or USB)or when giving directions, all of the rest of the time, the factory equipment is where the sound comes from. so if you are playing a CD or the radio, it will sound the exact same as it always has.

 

second, no fader, the whole point of the "unique amp" is so that the system can interrupt the factory stereo when it needs to (as in give you a direction) and then switches back to the factory.

 

 

this is the biggest super fail of the F500, its made only to add some functionality to a supposedly already great factory system (even though it doesnt work very well with any high end factory systems with factory amps or subs or more than four channels)

 

for those who actually want good sound, that is what they make the full systems for, full control, full integration, not some half assed system that sits on the dashboard and doesn't do half the crap that everybody wants it too.

Hi guys,

I have a F500BT in my BMW 330d.

It's connected with a special cable between my headunit and headcable.

I also have the pioneer AMP.

I thought that the combination of the pioneer AMP with the original headunit, the sound would improve and the Pioneer will take control.

But the quality of the headunit is still poor. Except for Iphone music played on the F500bt. This sounds great (thanks to the pioneer amp).

And if the sound of my original headunit goes over the pioneer amp, shouldn't the volume control of the F500BT work for the FM/CD of my headunit?

2nd question, how can I adjust the FADER on the F500BT? My front speakers or to soft while playing mp3/iphone.

p.s. Phone calls, navigation, Iphone music/video works without any problems...

Is it possible to watch video and navigate at the same time?

I watch video with my iphone but when I have the AV on Iphone my navigation don't give any directions (as symbols or something)

On a Avic I previously owned (Avic x1) it was possible to get a little direction symbol in your navigation screen...

Yes, the unit was a dutch unit and I had dutch language...

Could it be the type nr in the sys.txt? I used the type nr that was in my original sys.txt

Also the speed cam warnings are in English but the navigation voice is in Dutch (TTS).

Are there Dutch speedcam warnings in your pack?

 

About the building files: I tried several, also some files that I use on a different IGO 8.3 navigation (chinese cardvd\gps). With that unit I see buildings in Den Haag, Nederland (the hague, netherlands), Rotterdam etc etc.

So i'm sure the files are correct, but the pioneer won't show them.

Wich license do I have to use? I got the license out of your 2.0 mod, and a world license.

regarding the speedcam warnings, i don't have a dutch voice pack but i know you could download them in other igo forums, though you have to edit the names the same way as it is in my mod,

weird, before adding the mod was the navigation part in Dutch when laguage was set to dutch?

 

regarding the buildings, post the building files you're using and i'll check it in the emulator and see if i can find anything, also, post a location where you're expecting buildings to show up, having 3dl's and 3dc files doesn't mean you'll see all the building in your area, post em up and i'll look into it,

did you have the speed camera settings turned on?

did you edit the device type on the sys.txt to reflect the F500 device #?

i have also a F500 and come from D and i will try to help you.

 

1. Sometimes GPS takes a few minutes, mostly go faster. Do you have a Sun-Protect-Glass? This could be an Reason.

I'm a prof mechanic, I build in lots of navigation devices, this is way to long...

 

2. can´t help you, i´m not using mp3 with 500er

 

3. can´t help you. The TMC could have more Options, your right. I don´t no if this is a Problem of TA Maps?

The map doest change the TMC settings I guess... It's the software

 

4. this is possible with a Skin/Mod. I think one of the best new Functions

5. normally the F500 goes in Standby when you turn off your car? Try a Short-Push off and then on while you are driving, then turn off your car. I also tried this and the F500 starts everytime very fast.

Tried it already, doesn't matter...

Only if the device is of for a few minutes it's fast...

Hi all...

I have build it in my car and connected it to my car stereo (bmw 2001)

I'm serving the forum for tips and pointers but still have some issues.

1 I have a slow gps fix. Sometimes up to more then 5 minutes. I bought a seperate GPS receiver and connected it and placed the wired receiver in another spot where the signal should be fine. But no solution.

2 When I turn the device off for longer then about 3 hours, I lose my settings from mp3 (last number, EQ settings etc) en the mp3 (from usb) starts all over again, very anoying.

3 TMC traffix works fine, but you don't have an option what to do when there's a traffic jam. Only 2 settings, recalculation without warning, or just do nothing. Normally you well get an option something like this: There is 6 km traffic jam, do you want a detour or continue your route?

Next to that is have to press to much buttons to see the traffic information, and besides that I can't see wich information is on my route because it shows all information... Around my living adress no problem but when I'm not formiliar around it's a pain in the a**

4 Can I turn of the mute function of the navigation (while using the radio)? I can turn it if when the USB is playing but not when the radio is playing...

It's anoying in the city, when listening to FM, that the navigation stops every few seconds your song...

5 If device is longer switched of the a couple of hours, the boot time is up to a minute or something...

when the device is switched on in a few minutes, it's fast...

Can anyone give me some help?

I love the device, but these little thing makes my wanna change it. I can't use it on a busy working day that the fix is up to 5 minutes (to be sure: The device go's on and off on the some spot. When there is a fix the device see's about 10 satelites and gives a high accuracy)
