Yup, thats the mod that I was talking about. Most people trying to use that kit with that HU cut the bottom piece off. The second one I linked is for JBL units, so I don't think it will work for you either. I read somewhere that there is difference in the dash enclosure and that one would be too big. Scosche makes another for non-jbl dashes, but I have no experience with it.

I didn't realize that a Limited "could" come without JBL. I guess thats Toyota for ya. I'm told that the non-JBL and the JBL dash openings are slightly different, so you may have better luck than I did.

It fits alright inside as long as you keep in mind that you are adding alot to a very confined space. Do you have JBL in your 4runner? If so, you will need an amplifier interface. I used the PAC TATO and it sounds better than stock. You will need a surround for the HU to eliminate gaps on the sides. I bought two based on feedback from the guys at 4runner.org. You need to use the bigger antenna to go straight into the HU. You don't need the adapter. Just tape up the unused antenna and ensure you splice into the power conector bundled with the antennas. The HU harness has a wire labled "Power Antenna" that you should hook it up to.

I'm having a lot of trouble getting this thing to program the VR. It programs all the buttons appropriately but the VR button acts as volume down. I have programmed it about 10 times and it is the same result each time. I read where someone was having a similar issue, but I believe that was 1.67 and mine is a 1.68 (or so it says on the side). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Finally got mine in and it is indeed 1.68. I plan on installing it in my wife's 04 4runner tomorrow with the z110-bt. BTW I called Crutchfield in my search and they didn't know and didn't care to find out what version they had.

I called and confirmed that they are carrying 1.68. They said it is the only model they have in stock, so I ordered it off their website. Thank You so much for finding this. I have called EVERYONE trying to find this rev. Either they have 1.67 or they don't know (or care) what they have. I'll update when it arrives as to the rev number.
