  1. Well I've just discovered that the MSN receiver is not compatible with the "send to" function of the various map services, including MSN's, so what do you all use to get long planned out routes to your nav unit?
  2. For what it's worth, my GPS antenna is on a plastic interior panel in the front windshield and everything seems to be working just fine...
  3. I believe this can be done from the AV Source screen, there's a "Off" selection on the lower right part of the screen.
  4. Yeah, but some of us have a hard time learning new tricks. Personally, I think the sound fidelity of a CD is better than that of the iPod....
  5. Here's something interesting. In my car (2002 Z06) the dash panel adjustmentdimmer does the exact opposite to control the brightness of the radio.
  6. Yes, I looked at the instruction manual and picture. If you do, you will notice it goes directly into the Z110, not an HD tuner. My HD tuner stopped working when I installed the MSN Direct device so my question was whether or not this was related. Since this unit doesn't work with even the newest model CD changer it wouldn't have surprised me if this wasn't compatible as well. Anyway, after some further trouble-shooting I determined that the antenna extension was faulty and I stressed a weak point, thus causing it to fail. Replaced extension and all is good.
  7. That wont work. The MSN service requires its own tuner and the unit only looks for MSN data through the proprietary connection on the unit. Okay, VBLUE, not sure I understand your repose, should this work or do I need to split the antenna into both units?
  8. Before I start taking things apart, is there any reason why the HD tuner won't work with MSN Direct?
  9. When I select to show the list of my preset radio stations I am not seeing the name of the radio station that is assigned to each preset. Could this be because I have the HD tuner??
  10. New Z110BT; with a music CD in the player it will only play "shuffle" mode. When I touch the screen "shuffle" highlights but does not change. I have tried re-setting by disconnecting battery and inserting a different disk but nothing changes, is there anything else I can do? Thanks,
  11. So there are no CD changer models that work with the Z? Am I understanding you correctly VBLUE42?
  12. I have the Z110BT. I see the information in the manual and it makes reference to the key code, but the MSN icon on my radio is greyed out.
  13. I believe VBLUE is talking about the format of the SD card itself, not the files on the card. Like FAT32....
  14. Do I need to have a specific GPS antenna to get this feature?
  15. XM NAV TRAFFIC is not just a station on the radio. It's a module that provides a direct interface into the navigation module. It apears that Garmin is now partnering with XM as their added feature solution. http://www.xmradio.com/navtraffic/get_nav.xmc http://www8.garmin.com/xm/ But it looks like we'll still miss the gas updates, movies, etc.
