Oh nice that app seems like great solution but I don't want to jailbreak. I already put an order in for the cable so I'll try that out and I'll post an update with the results.

I want to know if anyone has ever tried using this Myvu cable with the AVIC-D3. It would be cool if it did work because then you could use that front 3.5mm A/V jack to play videos from your iPhone. I can play music with no problem and the phone pairs without any issues. The play button, stop, and pause work but when it comes to changing song the forward and back buttons don’t work. I have to change the song though the iPhone, I can’t change it thought my AVIC-D3 head unit. Does anyone know how to fix this? When I first paired the iPhone think it worked initially but hasn’t work since that first time.
