Even if you have the v3 update you will need the code for your unit. As far as I know you cant get this without paying for the upgrade. I called Pioneer Aus this morning to inquire about getting V3 for my Aus F900BT (currently on V2) they put me through to the technical department that told me to download (from the Pioneer Aus website) the v3 software for the F910BT and load that onto my unit as that was how you get V3. Does this sound correct? He also didn't mention having to load into service menus, formatting, etc so I have to assume everything is included in the update from Pioneer. I just called Pioneer Australia to inquire about new maps and v3 software for my F900BT, they put me through to the technical department which told me to download and load the F910BT v3 software as it will suit my 900 and work normally. Can anyone confirm this is the case please?

Hey guys, I've been offered a US supplied Z1 for a reasonable price. From what I've been reading I won't be able to get the maps from Pioneer, so I'm wondering what other options do I have? I don't want to purchase the unit without knowing 100% that I'll be able to get Australian maps working perfectly on the unit. If this has been covered before I must have missed it as I've been researching all morning without a definite answer. Thanks in advance.
