  1. Hey guys, I've been following the board for 9 months now, and run an F-900 with the hacks/mods/updates you have all created. So thank you for that! I was doing some searching and found a topic back in 2008 discussing iOS running on the AVIC, and it seemed that the main gripe was that iOS was not multitasking. So now that we have iOS 4, with a better multitasking capability, has it crossed anyone elses mind to try to load up iOS 4 on the AVIC? I have absolutely no idea how to do this, let alone if it's even possible so that's why I'm asking the gurus. Is anyone else interested in
  2. Just did a little more research and now I'm really intrigued: If a normal USB system gives this sort of voltage ... Pin Name Description 1 VBUS +5 VDC 2 D- Data - 3 D+ Data + 4 GND Ground And charging an iPhone 3Gs 3.1.2 requires 5 volts averaged across pins 2 and 3 (2.5V on each pin) could this be as simple as no reference voltage being applied to pins 2 and 3 on the USB from the headunit? Could a simple jumper between the cables that applies 2.5V to pins 2 and 3, and some resistor from pin 1 to each pin do the trick? Weigh in whenev
  3. Hi guys, This is my first post on here, but I have been a "guest" for about 2 months. I have been thinking about this problem with the iPhone 3Gs on firmware 3.1.2 charging on the F series. I have an F900 and have done some testing that has yielded some interesting results. First thing - it appears the 3rd party and official Apple cables both charge the iPhone 3Gs when the USB end of the suspected cable is plugged into a wall mount USB charger with 5V output. I have tested this with 3 wall mount USB chargers. The official Apple charger, a Kodak charger and a no name charger. All of
