  1. It sounds like a memory or CPU problem. This is a known issue for the iPhone 4 and I haven't found a fix for it. The iPhone 4S seems to have better hardware to support AppEx mirroring.

thanks for this answer even if i hoped for some better :)

I had the same problems with my iPT4 and could never resolve it, so I just gave up and sold it. :( Sticking to just my iPhone 4S now...

    thanks for that.

another reason for me to use my ipod only for music and stick to arliberator for the rest. i got two android phones with mhl and for sure i won´t buy an iphone 4s just to put it in my car as a media player :)

edit: sorry, my post sounds like arliberator is better than appex. that was not what i wanted to say, both of them have different strengths. i have never been a fan of apple and i bought the ipod only for appradio and now i am a little bit *'§%&"

  2. i have troubles with the following feature:

my setup: iPod 4 with iOS 6.1.3, Appradio App 2.40, EppEx Beta 17 und Firmware 8.17 on my appradio 2

when forcing an app to mirror the app it does not fully start. 1st the device seems to start the app, but getting reeaaaaaallly slow, after some time the app closes and i´m on the ipod startscreen again

Can please someone help with this problem?

still no answer. mike, please be so kind, can u help?
  3. you need bluetooth and cable for android devices. cable doesn´t have to be the original pioneer, aftermarket or samsung hdmi adapter also works (but be carefull, s3 pin alignment is not the same as other android devices, so cable has to be for s3). and you have to use samsung based rom on your s3, roms with no samsung base, cyanogenmod and so on, do not support mhl.

  4. i have troubles with the following feature:

    • Force apps that natively support the head unit/external displays to mirror instead

my setup: iPod 4 with iOS 6.1.3, Appradio App 2.40, EppEx Beta 17 und Firmware 8.17 on my appradio 2

  5. The iPod is alwas connected with the original iPod/iPhone cable. The HTC is connected with a cable similar to this one: http://www.amazon.de/BestOfferBuy-Micro-Adapter-Kabel-Smartphone/dp/B00AAC87NU/ref=sr_1_40?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1368604741&sr=1-40&keywords=mhl+adapter with an additional cigarette lighter plug mounted behind the dashboard (use an cigarette lighter plug with at least 1A, otherwise the device uses more power than the charger can charge). The Galaxy S3 Needs a different Adapter because it has a different PIN usage, i don´t know how it is with the S4.

Meanwhile i got the Appradios GPS working with Arliberator, you have to tick a box in the developer Settings, in german it´s called "falsche Positionen" in english speaking Forums they are always talking about "mock positions" so maybe this it what it´s called.

If Appradio extensions would run as smooth as Arliberator i would prefer using the iPod.

    Kind regards, Martin

  6. Arliberator it seems way faster and less buggy.

that´s right, arliberator runs very smooth and fast.

my setup is HTC ONE X and iPod 4, both connected to my Appradio. With iPod/iPhone you get the original Appradio surface with optional displaying the iPod/iPhone surface. With android devices and Arliberator you get only the android surface. You have to decide for yourself which one you prefer.

Biggest disadvantage of Arliberator is that it seems (for me, arliberator forum says it should work) that it can´t use the Appradios GPS receiver. When connecting my iPod i have good signal strenght immediately, with Android it is very poor, depending on the position of my HTC in my car.

So, i am using iPod for navigation and offline music and my android for phone functions and all that needs an internet connection. mostly i have only my ipod attached because it has all the funczionallity i need

  7. ** The beta versions of AppRadio Extensions assume you have the latest AppRadio app and Pioneer FW installed. **

does that mean i have to install fw 8.30 even if i use an ipod 4 with ios 6.1.3 (with semiuntethered jailbreak)?

some betas ago supported apps worked fine but no touch for unsupported apps (i know, it was a known bug). then there was one beta which worked perfect for me. then, for the last 2 betas, unsupported apps work fine BUT:

    supported apps are gone!!

    everyone else with that problem?

  8. For the convinience of IOS 5.1.1 users, I've uploaded a zip file with the latest AppRadio Extension supporting IOS 5.1.1 and unsupported app touchscreen functionality directly on the AppRadio  (appradioextensions_2.0.1-1.deb) and the AppRadio app compatible with that release (AppRadio-v1.8.2.ipa) ... Just to help people not reading 70 pages with over a 1000 posts like I did, to figure out how to make it work   The current build of the AppRadio Extension found in Cydia or the file found in the first post in this thread, wont work or install properly on 5.1.1... The link:

    http://www.filedropper.com/appradioextfor511

Install the .ipa file using iFunBox via PC, install the .deb file by copying the file to 'var\mobile\Documents' (Using iFunBox) and install the .deb within the iPhone using the iFile applikation found in Cydia.

Hope this helps ... I had to restart my iPod after having installed AppRadio and Appradio Extension to get it to work...

    Best regards,

    Vic

would be fine if mike could post the working configuration in post 1

  9. Ok, so I just picked up an AppRadio and installed it.  I was thrilled when I found out about AppEx, however I'm having troubles getting it to work.  I'm running a jailbroken 4s on 5.1.1 and an SPH-DA100 on 8.17.  When I do an install of AppEx from Cydia I get the Siri button (which works) but none of the unsupported apps appear.  When I do an install from the 1st page of this discusion I get the Siri button (which doesn't work) and icons for unsupported apps, but I can't launch them.  When I touch on an icon it blinks, but the apps never launch.

Has anyone encountered this problem or have any idea what I should do differently?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hy yeah i got same thing going its all working but most important thing to use your phone via the screen wont work

    No touch support

    Whats the latest

Cant we all donate some money to get a app created to jus have full control???.

    Any ideas

appradio extensions do not support the newest version of the appradio app at the moment. for an iphone with ios 5.x you need appradio app version 1.8.2. - i think a link to this version is somewhere in this thread - and latest appradio extension from cydia.
