  1. Awesome, thank you very much for this information. I'd buy you a beer or 3 if I could.
  2. Thanks for getting back with me Superjet. I appreciate the information, but I'm still a bit green to all this stuff with sat equipment. I really don't understand what you said lol... I know there can be 2 types of antenna plugs, 1 with 1 single connection and 1 with 2 connections (I think these are older style). Beyond that I have heard some acronyms thrown around like SMB and FARKA etc.. but I am not educated on these things yet. I wanted to learn what all I needed before I dug into it, but I guess it will be the other way around. From what you are saying with the mustang, is there n
  3. Hey guys, I just picked up a Z1 and a Z3 off of ebay for mine and my wifes rides (2008 Mustang GT with oem sirius and 2008 1500 Silverado with oem XM). I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times before but I can not find the right way to search for it and get a good answer, so here I am asking. Can I use the factory Antennas with the GEX-P920XM? If the GEX-P920XM is not the right model to use would the 900 or 910 be a better choice? I'd like to have the mated pioneer unit in both cars for XM service while using the factory oem antennas. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
  4. Whats the difference between the two? I've tried searching and didnt find squat explaining the differences, if any.
  5. I do not know if the plug is yellow, I have not started getting into anything yet. I know the antenna plug on the pioneer XP piece is a square with a round type deal in the middle. I can not find a picture or any documentation of a GM XM antenna or antenna plug.
  6. Hello all, I am puting a new Avic-Z2 with a GEX-P10XMT in my new 2008 Impala SS optioned with XM and Bose. I have found all modules etc to keep all OEM functionality, such as OnStar and wheel controls and safety/door chimes. But, I have not found any way to use the existing XM antenna. Does anyone know if it is possible to use the existing XM antenna or possibly re-end/hack it to work with the GEX-P10XMT? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Steve
  7. What all would it take to put in an 03 dash or newer bezel. What options would there be for moving the AC controls. Or, would it be possible to use the AC controlls from that same newer model? Sorry if the question doesn't make sence, wasn't sure exactly how to word it. Thanks for your help! -Steve
  8. ...in my 2001 suburban. I really really like the look of this unit. I would like to get one but I'm not sure if it will fit. If it won't fit, can a newer style GM dash be swapped in? thanks! -Steve
