I'm having the exact same problem with my system as well, except I did the hardware bypass on the system almost a year ago. Mine does the exact same things, resets itself until sometimes it will actually boot up but then I had to enter my anti-theft password, and no Nav signal. I figured maybe one of the connections came loose in the back of the stereo so yesterday I rewired the whole stereo. And now the stereo still does the same thing, except now when it comes to the anti-theft screen and asks me to enter my password the entire keyboard area is greyed out and now I cannot enter my passwo

I bought an AVIC D3 from someone on carigslist who didnt have the discs for it. I decided it was a good buy and went home and burnt the 80mt east coast disc. I put it into the system and it performed an upgrade, but after that a grey box came up in the middle that says "Please eject the disc and insert the appropriate disc" in three different languages. I figured I had old software so I downloaded and burned the 90mt east coast disc. When the unit comes on it goes right tp the grey box screen and i inserted the new disc and nothing changed. Help! lol.
