  1. Chitownboss- This problem only happens to me in the summer time. As for the heater in your car making it do that is weird, when mine does this the car has to be very hott the dash especially. -The ipod cable has got nothing to do with it, the only thing i can think of is the amp that powers the speakers is heating up and then causes it to go into protect. -I just got off the phone with pioneer and they said they would send me a knew one (they called me after a bad review) and hours on the phone with them previously. -the only option you have is to call them and get another one.THIS IS NO
  2. I don't have any steering wheel controls and if i run the a/c for a couple of minutes it will work like normal i drilled a couple of holes in the back of the duct for the a/c that goes up to the windshield to defog or de ice it and that seemed to help when cooling it down, it went from 10 minute wait time to 2 minutes, so it got better and i gave it more space in the back of the unit so it has plenty of room to breath.
  3. I have posted i video on you tube of the problem, This is a issue i can not get rid of i have tried everything from providing more space in the back of the unit and i have checked all of the connections and i have sent it back to pioneer. PLEASE HELP, much appreciated.
  4. All of the speakers have been swapped out and the unit was installed professionally, I did free up some space in the back and that seemed to help alot. Would this problem have anything to do with the unit being (bypassed) so that you can watch videos and use the nav while the parking break is engaged? Thanks for all the help
  5. I have the same problem you guys are having, I have a 2008 silverado single cab and have had this problem for awhile now, I have had it checked out buy everyone including pioneer and the problem is still their, its not a wiring issue it is the unit itself i am going to try to free up some space in the back of the unit and see what that does. This problem only happens when the headunit gets HOT besides that it works perfect.
  6. The battery problem could be from your remote wire and that could cause the amp to stay on and then for drain your battery. I had a similar problem with mine, the battery was not giving the head unit enough power and then sending it into mute and the sound would cut in and out and then go off. I fixed my problem by revving the engine which charges the battery and then mine worked, this problem only happened when i listened to my radio with the subs on for over an hour, you can fix this by getting a new battery, your battery may not be able to handle that much power. the reason the volu
  7. i figured it out, it was the driver-side rear speaker it was getting pinched and cutting off all the sound cause they are wired together, try checking all connections on your speakers.
  8.
