I used to get elevation in feets, now it is changed into decimal point miles.. Which is pretty inaccurate since it is rouded off. For example my elevation at home was 1100 feet and now it is showing .2miles. and it remains same where elevation was 800-900 feet.. if you can guide me how to change it.. it would sure help.. Thanks.

Go to Diaftia's mod and download the alternate EzRider.exe, at his first or second post, and replace the one in my mod.

I'm really so sorry since I don't mod anymore. I am quite happy with my setup, my own iGo mod and if I have the mood, Primo 2.0.

Ovalball, I don't have any memory issue with Primo 2.0, both Dimika and Gurjon's latest skins. I have the max_mem set ... etc.

Steelth, I'm not aware of any limition of 17 schemes (I didn't play with that part of code anyway); you can try isolate out the files having problem by putting one by one ... etc.

Ovalball, you would have to make sure that you don't mess up with the iGo baseline though. You'll otherwise be unable to access your AVIC anymore!!!

After years of modding My BT900 has decided its had enough and wont let me into testmode!The screen goeas blank but then it just boots up as normal.Tried different SD cards but no joy.Anyone with any ideas please?Dont know what i will do to fill my days!

Hummm, don't know how to help you ovalball but myself I don't use testmode anymore to make change to my mod or Primo, except when the AVIC doesn't boot.

If it boots, you can still make change to it by terminating iGo or Primo, then open Explorer or Commander to make changes.

One more thing, how to select 3D cars in iGO? I tried 2-3 different ways, none shows cars when i click button, Choose Cars, or go in 3D car menu where it says Init, there is nothing. I was able to select car for Primo but not for iGo..

If I remember well, you have to click on INIT, then SCAN, then CHOOSE. It is possible that you have to restard iGo between INIT and SCAN, but I'm not quite sure ...

- POI files has to be in the iGo\CONTENT\POI folder, not in Primo's. Primo uses the MAP, BUILDING, POI from iGo\CONTENT.

- Just put schemes in the scheme folder and select it. Please note that there are already many that you can choose from under iGo\CONTENT\SCHEME folders. For menu background color, you can always select from the "Custom Settings". There should be 6 or 7 custom colors.

Looks great. I have a question or 2. How do you save the display on your GPS to SD card? and another one is what do I have to do to show buildings show up on map? I had never have it. So may be just like POI do i have to turn it on or what? i have it on in one place though. I selected Middle and other options were close and far. Let me know. thanks.

For #2, yes you have to enable building in iGo (which is default), you have to have building file for your city in the CONTENT\Building folder. No all cities have building file though.

if i press buttons in the "Navigiation Menu".....buttons in the Map menu...

In primo mode i can see Satellite connection, but igo says "searching for satellite".

For the GPS issue in Primo, ryar is saying that you have to disable the Gyro Sensor in the European version in order to let the GPS locks.

Cheers Chuck.The only thing I have lost is TMC ,the radio frequencies aren't showing.This 500 seems to be a different animal altogether than my trusty F900bt.

I think that F500 is well supported in this forum. Why don't you search under its own threads rather than under the F900? I think that lot of people are having it here.

Sorted!Installed the 2.007 firmware from the OFFICIAL Pioneer website,then installed mods,maps etc and BINGO!It all works.Now I've got twice as many things to waste my time on....I love it!

Good for you ovalball, because I get messed up with all those FW versions!!! I know that all mods in this forum are made for FW 3.x and up, but don't know which version number it is referring to.

Another question to your schemes. I use an old scheme from this board, the background colors fits perfectly to my car. I changed the pictures and make a new image.res but i still got your images (exp. 746_32K_AV-004_32b.bmp). Where I have to change this?

Hi Chuck, did you try any newer releases of Primo 2.0? I tried one from March and found it to be buggy. It seemed to have trouble rendering upcoming roads at certain zooms/distances and they would flash on and off the screen for a few seconds before coming in solid. December's seemed to work OK but I switched back to October's since I seemed to have the fewest issues with it. I didn't notice any new features in the newer releases, so far as I can tell all versions of Primo 2.0 are the same in that aspect. Maybe if you guys updated to a newer version try and go back to the original?

 

I think that I nailed down the unexpected Primo exiting problem. If you use DiMiKA or Gurjon skins and you enable the Auto User Zoom under the Map Settings, you will have unexpected problems such as the one I described! I recently enabled this option and there is when it starts to go wild. I disabled it yesterday and no more problem with any skin.

Ovalball if you have this option enabled in Primo, it might be worth a try ...

On another note, this Auto User Zoom happens be very similar to my own SmartTrack introduced in my mod since version 3.1, on 2011-05-08. I don't know whether NavNGo copied on my idea or we just have the same idea when they designed Primo 2.0. I'm almost certain that my mod with SmartTrack was out before the release of Primo 2.0. :mrgreen:

Hi Chuck,its ovalball here.Ive tried sending you a PM but no luck.Please accept my opologies for posting in the general area!I have just bought a brand new F500BT off Ebay and the firmware is 1.****I want to start modding it but can you tell me if i need to update the firmware first?It is such a long time since I bought my 900BT I have forgotten what I had to change to enable me to start installing mods!I cannot find a working link to enable me to update to V3 or V4.Pioneer have been no help and I can only get an official update to 2.07 which I dont think will be any help.I updated my F900BT to V3 some years ago now but think i must have deleted the files i used.Any advice please Chuck so I can get your mod with Primo running on it ASAP.

Ovalball, yes you have to update the firmware first to v3.xxxxx because all mods in this forum as I know as designed for firmware 3.xxxxx.

I know there is a guide in this forum to show you how to do it but the link to the FW seems to be broken, but you should be able to find another link easyiy in this forum. There is also a torrent file at the end of the post (inside a RAR file) that you can try ...

Ryar, thanks for the reply. No I didn't update Primo 2.0 to any newer version. I use in my mod the first 2.0 from your thread (this one). So it could be something else.

I have been trying to use the Dinka skin with Primo but it keeps freezing.Can anyone who has tried it had any more success than I have?I have tried a few changes to sys.txt(Thanks Chuck!)but still no joy.I really like all the features like screen saver etc and would love to get it going consistently .All suggestions welcome!

I don't know what has happened lately, I am getting troubles (unexpected exiting of Primo 2.0) with the skins DiMika 1.5.3 and even the simpler Gurjon GJA 1.08, especially when there is a planned route; some time without planned route, but playing with settings (entering/exiting, not even changing) results in exiting Primo 2.0.

Anyone has any idea?

I have the German files in the correct folders and now I got everything in german Everything is working, but only one thing "No GPS SIGNAL"

 

It stucks on "Waiting for GPS Signal", do you know what do I have to do? Do I need to edit my System.txt "GPS is working with IGO" Also when I open the GPS Settings it show 7 Satellites are available!!!

Hey everybody....been away from the forum for too long, and now I have forgotten everything I thought i knew.

I own the F500BT and use it in Canada. For the last several months, everytime I try to plan a route, the unit reboots - it works fine in straight tracking mode.

Long story short, thought I would try to install Diaftia's mod, but now i can't get through the startup screen - straight to reboot. Already tried deleting and recopying the 2008 IGo maps - no joy.

 

Any viable suggestions welcomed!! (Including recommendations for other mods)

Hi, I don't know the problem with the PM matter, please contact the Admins of this site for helps if needed.

On your problem, not sure why, but make sure that after copying files, you still have enough space on the drive. For the reboot loop, make sure that all files of Diaftia's mod are copied. I know from experience that when you copy files under WinCE, if it can no longer find space on the 1.8 GB disk, it won't warn you; it just stops!!! And this causes many reboot loops from the many users.

Do you know if it's possible to add a different version of Primo just by installing a different data.zip?There seems a lot of versions out there,some with better UI than others.I have just bought a cheap unit off EBay which is running Primo but I would like to use the version you packaged with your mod,the one I am using in my RV.

Nice hearing from you but sorry, no I don't have any experience on this ... This is probably a try-and-error stuff that you have to carry out. I package only a 800x480 résolution Primo, so if you eBay unit has this resolution, you might have a chance to make it works.
